This is a story based in the real world, and it is something of a departure for me as I normally do things involving sci-fi or some form of magic. Some of the plot and situations are a little (ok a lot) unrealistic, but that is the nature of fiction. Although this will not exactly be a comedy, please dont take it too seriously, just try to have some fun with it. Any constructive criticism is appreciated

The world is full of people. There are happy people. sad people. good and evil people. people living in fear, people living in luxury and people living with regrets. This is a story of a group of people whose lives intertwine through their own stories.

For the last 50 years, the biggest threat to the safety of billions worldwide has been the dangerous criminal organisation known as the Locusts. What started out as a gang of bandits has now become a global empire of crime. They indulge in activities such as profiteering off urban warfare, genocide, exploitation of settlements, assassination, kidnapping, slave trade and drugs trafficking. In recent years the Locusts have been under threat as worldwide security has improved. Any chance to make money is a chance they will take. When an American couple are publicly announced as the winners of the highest ever jackpot in the national lottery, the Locusts, led by the cold Mr Church, spot a golden oppertunity.

As the wheels are set in motion, more and more people are caught up in the chain of events that unfolds. Within the larger tale are many smalled ones of friendship, love, revenge, power, rivalry, hardship and joy. When all is said and done, it is not the destination that matters, only the journey...

Jett Holloway - 28, Washington (originally from Australia), FBI agaent who is moving up in his career
Darcy Graham - 17, Vancouver, A popular high school student, very rich and very spoilt, particularyly by her father
Thomas Young - 16, Vancouver, An introverted student, best friend to Matt and has a crush on Darcy
Dale Miller - 32, Vancouver, a kind hearted Vancouver cop, husband of Rachel
Rachel Miller - 29, Vancouver, a Vancouver cop, wife of Dale
Eddie Harris - 38, Unknown (orignally from Utah), a ruthless killer and member of American Locusts
Jason Alman, -24, Unknown (originally from California) a younger, lower ranking member of the American Locusts
Erika Young - 36, Vancouver, social worker and mother of Thomas
Roger Carson - 37, New York, taxi driver and alcoholic
Tyler "TJ" Ward - 12, Vancouver, (originally from Atlanta, Georgia), son of Jack, grieving death of his best friend
