Sora
I nodded, feeling a bit more somber than I already was. "Yes, I know. You are right; I've learned that all too well recently. I've always had to deal with people, and things, coming and going from my life since I was a child. Since my mother left my family, since my father got killed. However, it was never all at once. Not like this," I explained to him. "My wife dead. My former friends and family running from me and stealing my own ship, not even being who I thought they were. Everyone is gone now."
Maybe he does have more of a point than I thought. Life is a revolving door. All of those people left, but more people just need to come in on the other side. Perhaps a new family can be some of the people entering.
"Maybe it is best for me," I muttered, staring at the wall for a moment. Breaking out of my thoughts about all of this, I looked up at Mesiros. "Mesiros, tell me something. You have been advising me somewhat recently, as you know. You have been....helpful, in some ways, I believe. However, your own master opposes me. He's made that quite clear. Why do you support me and attempt to help me?"

Mesiros looked around, just in case, then turned his gaze back to Sora.
"Just because my master opposes you doesn't mean I will. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm not particularly fond of him. If you think I'll agree with everything he says and does, you'd be wrong."
He swallowed, hard. "Sometimes I listen to other people too. I've been around for a long, long time, Sora. I've seen a lot of shit go down and not been able to help. Now that I can help you, I will."

Sora
I nodded. "I do not know how your group works, so I will not question anymore, and I am glad to know that someone is on my side, at least. You were right about the people that I thought were my friends. You've been right about a lot of things, it seems. Maybe you're right about this," I said to him.
"Still, thank you. You are only one of three people that previously knew me to stay at my side," I finished.

Mesiros nodded and smiled, reaching out and placing one cold hand on Sora's shoulder. He give it a reassuring squeeze and dropped his hands to his sides. "In some ways, Sora, I haven't known you very long. In other ways, though, I've known you your entire life. I've seen everything, from beginning to now. I can only wish you the best in your future endeavors. Remember, I'll always be around to assist you when I feel the time is right."
He walked over to the large window behind Sora and opened it. "I have some other business to attend to. Keep in mind what we discussed, and do your best to keep your head above water. You're a strong man, Sora, and I think you'll stay that way, come whatever may."
And like that, he was gone.

Sora
I stood and walked over to where Mesiros had stood before he vanished. I stared out the window for a long moment, at the city before me. Civillians going about their daily lives like normal. I felt the wind hit my face, and just stayed there for a long moment, a solemn look on my face.
I turned back to my desk, and reached into a lower drawer. I pulled out a holo, one that I had not gotten rid of for two reasons: Not enough time, and perhaps a small part of me had been holding onto it for nostalgia's sake.
I activated it, and an image appeared before me: A holo of the very original Killer crew, standing in front of the old, Corellian freighter itself.
I walked back over to the open window, and dropped the holo down into the abyss of Coruscant, where it would fall into nothing. I watched as it descended, until finally, it was gone.
It was indeed time to move into the future.
Lady in Blue
I walked through my new hide-out: A cabin-like building, but slightly bigger, on a very backwater, tranquil world. After that disaster on Xizor's ship, I had come to this place, and wasted no time in finding a place to stay, where no one would find me.
I still scowled when I thought about that incident on the ship. Marlena beat me, but then she refused to kill me. She let me live.
Bitch. You're too soft. You should've just killed me.
However, for the most part, my plans had been a success: Sora's life had fallen apart. I found out that he removed the Chief-of-State and Head-of-Security on Coruscant, and replaced the COS with some buffoon. The man was getting paranoid, his sanity was collapsing, and it was all thanks to me.
And Marlena, along with Li and Sem, were likely dead, after I sent that ship literally crashing down on Tattooine. All the traitors from the Black Sun, my mother, those two dumbasses of teenagers were all dead.
I walked into the living area of the cabin, and standing there was none other than Mesiros, that higher power that I managed to turn to my side.
"Ah, Mesiros," I said coldly, smirking at him. "Seems you've been doing your job well enough."

Mesiros smiled discreetly in return. "Of course. I've picking away at that man quite expertly, if I do say so myself. Care to step outside with me for a moment? I'm sure as hell not sitting on that low couch. Have you seen Sora's chairs? They are almost deadly."
Without really waiting for a response, he turned and pushed open the patio door. The air here was cool, the sky almost completely dark. Plenty of stars and moonlight, however. He could see the lake below almost as clear as day.
"Hm. You didn't strike me as the tranquil type. Something about you I don't know of yet?" he asked, almost grinning.
Truth was, he didn't really know much about her at all. Sure, he could trudge through her mind and find out everything, but that was something Anziar would do. He wasn't like that.

I didn't look at the man. "You don't need to know about me," I answered emotionlessly. "You have a job to do, and that's it. I go where I need to go, I do what I need to do. You do the same."
I crossed my arms. "I need an update. The last thing I heard was his sudden actions against Renee Haltzilakas and Han Solo," I explained to Mesiros. "I hope the bastard has fallen farther than that."

"Well, then," he replied, also crossing his arms. "If we're going to be volatile..."
He inhaled deeply and recounted his recent chat with Sora. Not every little detail, of course, but the need-to-knows. "So this family thing is pretty likely. I don't know how much you care about it, but that's what I've been doing. And, of course, there's the recent activity of his former crew members. Word has it that they stole his prized ship and fled. He's a in a pissed off mood about that too."

I rolled my eyes. My dear old father and all of his damn families.
"So, he'd be on wife number four then," I remarked. "Fifth woman that he's been real close to. I'm sure no one will measure up to his precious Padme, though. He'll probably be miserable, but will go along with it for the hell of it."
However, a devious grin crossed my face when I thought about his former crew betraying him and stealing his own ship. That sounded almost too grand to be possible. It was an ultimate blow to Sora.
"So, the Killer and all of it's crew is gone," I whispered, though Mesiros could hear me. "Superb. So the man's all alone, then."

"Well, I had to keep my cover up. I told him I'd be around to 'help' him when I felt like it. That being whenever you want me to go stir up stuff. I'm dead if a certain someone sticks his head outside of his fortress for more than two seconds, though."
Mesiros glanced over at Mona. "So, uh, what's with this place, anyways?"

I nodded. "Yes, Diment will be sticking around as well. In fact, he already has. He will assist," I told him, then turned back to look at the cabin after his question. "It's a hide-out, of course. I'm going to be using a lot of those in the future. Sora wants my blood, and my original plans went awry. I should be dead right now, but some people aren't as tough-skinned as others."

Mesiros scowled. "How the hell did you meet that weirdo? I've never met anyone so... queer in my many years. His devotion to the Dark Lord is almost unhealthy. I mean, really. I'd rather serve someone that doesn't have the high probably of dropping out of nowhere and skinning you alive."
He shuddered. "Whatever, as long as it's not me that gets skinned."

I snorted, and ran one hand over the wood of the cabin. "I ran across Diment years ago. I was on a long journey, learning many skills to prepare for my eventual vengance," I told him with a chuckle. "He was a devout cultist, even back then. However, I knew from the moment that I found him in his small little witchcraft house that he was useful. He tried to enlighten me on your supposed Dark Lord; I didn't really listen, but I knew he had his uses."

Mesiros rested his chin in his hand and nodded. "I see. Sounds like him. I'd ask him how he got into Anziar so much, but I'd rather not. It's probably a very... very twisted story. Most of the cultists throughout the years think we're a depraved sort, but we're not. Sure, we're evil, but not like that. This is more of mind-meddling evil. We like to screw with your brain. Twist you around a few times and you're so dizzy, you'll be lost without moving."
He cocked his head to one side. "And you mentioned skills. You'll have to tell me about those someday. I was always a student of history, in a sense." He shrugged. "I wouldn't mind learning yours someday, seeing as how we have similar goals and whatnot. I assume we'll be working together quite a bit."

"We will, since you plan to continue tainting Sora," I said, still in a monotone. I nearly smirked again when I thought about my past, and all that I had done, even before I initiated my master plan on Sora and everyone else. "And ah, my past, Mesiros, is a dark one. A very dark one. And speaking of your master, does he suspect anything about your other obligations?"
