Naos
"Too bad Dawn isn't here, then," I said, following Caleb through the dark doorway. "But I guess we'll just have to deal with it...the wreckage isn't very large, though, so its not going to be like some huge maze. I just hope something of use is inside."
Duskbringer
"Thank you...sorry about that, too. My companion here gets really intense. Runs in his circuits," I told the gatekeeper as we left, trying to withhold a laugh. I then turned back on my way, walking down the streets.
We passed many people along the way...people of all types. Some stopped to look, some didn't...seeing oddities on Tattooine probably wasn't that rare.
We did just as the man at the booth said; we travelled down the three streets, and then took a left.
"Hmm...he said five buildings..." I slowly repeated, looking to the right. I continued to lead Dawn on, and stopped at the fifth building.
It didn't look too fancy, and simply had a roughed up sign that said "Space Control".
Its Mos Eisley. Can't expect it to be Coruscant-style Rotundas.
I knocked on the door, before waiting for someone to answer.
"Come in!" a voice yelled.
I just shrugged at Dawn, before opening the door, and walking inside. We walked up a winding staircase once inside, until coming to the top of the building, where a Rodian sat, watching over the entire spaceport.
"I have alot to do, so make this quick," the Rodian said in his native tongue.
"Don't worry, we've got alot to attend to, too....we actually were wondering if you had seen a ship crash out in the desert somewhere...considering the nice view you have from here," I told him slowly and politely.
He looked at me, raising his snout slightly, in a way that only Rodian's could. "Depends on how much you can give me..."
"Uh, we just want to know if you saw a ship go down anywhere nearby...you aren't exactly in the position to get paid..." I told him, a bit more firmly, and slightly confused.
"Actually, you're right...I don't need any credits from you...maybe just a little something else from you in particular..." he said, slowly stroking my stomach.
I scowled, and narrowed my eyes. I grabbed his wrist and twisted it, causing him to scream out in pain. I then gave him a hard, metal punch in the face. He screamed and fell to the ground.
"You pervert! I have the body of an eighteen-year old!" I screamed, taking out my blaster rifle. This was where the kindness ended. "Now tell me whether you saw a kriffing ship crash or not!"
"Fine, fine!" the Rodian screamed. "I've never seen a woman with such a strong fist, and I don't want to experience it again....I saw a portion of a ship, I think, go down in flames far to the East, but I'm not sure. Thats all I know, trust me!"
"It had better be," I growled, whirling around and facing Dawn. "Come on, Dawn, lets get out of here."

Kurt laughed. "Well now, that's not necessarily a bad thing... right?" He feigned a hurt look. "I am truly wounded by your words, madam."
Smirking, Kurt returned to his food. "New boss sounds lovely, however. Sora is on a roll... first Solon, now this bitch. I'm half tempted to never set foot in the Rotunda again."
---------
"Far to the East..." Dawn mused. "Lot of sand out there. Lot of sand everywhere," he said, sighing. "My hope for the meatbags dwindles. They may catch a break, though. We're all good at that, I think."
His audio receptors picked up the Rodian still whimpering and his eyes lit up in amusement. "That'll teach him to keep his hands to himself and his pants on."

Winter
"Oh, believe me this is only going to get harder." I replied as I gulped down more food, "In fact just later on today I have to prove to Volt that I'm 'worth having on the Admiral's pay roll'." I rolled my eyes. "Plus I kind of lost my cool with her earlier, and I was a little snarky, with good reason of course. But since I'm undercover I think I'm going to have to do some grovelling. I'm good at a lot of things, but grovelling isn't one of them!

"Yeah, lets hope so. Come on, we need to get moving...okay, so I guess we just go out to the desert and see if we can find that wreckage? All we got is a general direction," I said, walking out of Space Control. "And maybe we should rent a speeder? Not sure if we should do all that walking...and we may have people to pick up that need quicker transportation back to the city."
Diment
I chuckled quietly to myself. Oh yes, you do that, Winter....you prove to this new Head-of-Security that you're worthy!! Worthy of being a sniveling little traitor...ah, quite fun, isn't it? Playing Solon and the wonderful Supreme Admiral as a fool.
I sat at a booth that was right behind where Kurt and Winter were sitting...it was joyous, eavesdropping on their conversation like this. Two people, playing the great Sora Trok like a fool...hmm, would they suceed? It would be interesting to see.
Truthfully, although I was helping Sora fall and had assisted Mona in that, I wasn't really on anyone's side here....not Sora's, not the people that oppose him.
The one, lone side that I truly was on....
Was the Dark Lord's. And I may be betraying him now, in a sense, but someday....I'd make sure his rule was dominant.

"Yeah, well, sometimes we all gotta get down and dirty to get where we wanna go... fuck, that sounded worse than I thought it would. Just don't blow up at her, Winter. In Sora's state, he'd probably boot you outta there faster than a bullet flies out of a gun."
Kurt finished his food and pushed the plate away, raising the coffee cup and sipping his java. "Shall I tag along when you go back to the Rotunda? My patrol is done for now."
-----
Dawn nodded. "It'd be best if you nabbed a speeder. I'm too heavy to stay in one and maintain any speed, so I'll fly."

Duskbringer
Since Dawn and I had actually not been on a mission together in quite some time, and had been living relatively peaceful lives before Sora went mad, alot of his abilities had slipped my mind...but now, they were right back in the forefront. They were still deep in my memory banks.
"Okay, wait for me at the city limits...I'll go grab a large speeder, the largest I can find, anyway. Hauling all these people back won't be easy," I said, looking around to try to find some kind of place for renting speeders. There had to be some on Tattooine.
After a bit of looking around for a few minutes, I found one just a short distance away...there were several speeders sitting outside, and it looked like the man selling them was negotiating with someone.
"Your price is way too high! I'm not renting a speeder for that much!" a Twi'lek man yelled.
"Its that or no speeder. I refuse to drop any of my prices."
This doesn't sound too good.
"You're lucky enough I'm taking credits at all. Those usually aren't that good out here, but every year that goes by, they get more and more common in these parts so I'll let it slide this time. I'm not dropping my price, though!" the Bith yelled.
"Five-thousand credits for one shoddy speeder?! Are you out of your mind?!?!" the Twi'lek shouted. "You're not going to get any business like that!"
"And you're not going to find another speeder shop so close by...you'll have to walk a mile or two if you want to find another in Mos Eisley. You said you needed this, so pay up or start your journey," the Bith rudely said.
I blinked. Five-thousand credits? I don't even have that much with me. Thats insane...and it seems these two aren't going to let up anytime soon...
The pair continued their argument, and slowly and quietly, I snuck over to the speeder. I jumped inside, as silent as I could, and looked at the ignition. Usually, someone wouldn't be able to activate it...no normal person, anyway, unless they wanted to hot-wire it for ten minutes.
But I was no normal person.
I smirked, and my right hand went inside my wrist...what extended back out was what looked like some long needle. It was much more than that, though...it could hack almost anything. Especially something with such low security as this.
I put it inside the short ignition gap, and the engines fired up. Both the Bith and the Twi'lek immediately turned their heads to look at me, their eyes wide in shock.
"Hey! Get out of there!" the Bith yelled.
"I'll bring it back!" I screamed over the roar of the engine, immediately zooming away from the shop.
"Security! Security! Go after that crazy girl!!!" the Bith angrily ordered.
Security?! Crap.
I pushed the speed to its limit, literally flying past many people just walking through Mos Eisley, sending some right off their feet.
Finally, when near the city limits, I saw Dawn. "Okay, Dawn, its time to go...might want to step on it!!!" I suggested urgently.
Diment
I grinned, and stood up, after hearing that they were mostly done here at the Diner...as interesting as it may be to follow them to the Rotunda, that could be too dangerous, and I needed to study more, anyhow.
I made a quick exit from Dex's, and darted through the streets of Coruscant.
After awhile of walking, I came onto my new home: The Soft Heart Cantina.
Thats what it was until several days ago, anyway.
Once the owner, Memah Roothes, had deserted it when she ran from Coruscant, it was pretty much empty...all the employees and residents had left with her, it seemed, so there was no one to serve any drinks or food. There was no drout in cantinas on Coruscant, so no one even bothered to come back here.
The looters had already been here, as well, too....so not one person would want to come here, which made it the perfect place for me.
I entered the place, and looked around the main floor. Dust was already starting to grow, webs were starting to form...soon enough, you wouldn't be able to tell that anyone had ever been here.
Chairs and tables were turned over, bottles were smashed....it was completely run down.
Continuing to grin, I went over to the stairs that led to the upper levels, where people had once lived in harmony...the people who did live here had left without any of their things, so the looters got those, too.
But once it was empty...it was the perfect place for me to stay, and to build my new shrine.
The Shrine...of Anziar.
Once upstairs, I entered a room directly to the right. Several new statues of the Dark Lord were there, or what fellow cultists had always believed him to look like.
I rubbed my hands together, before grabbing a lighter, and proceeding to light the candles in the room. Once they were all lit, I grabbed another book of darkness off the shelf, and began my reading...

"Sure." I answered as we exitted the Diner. The food there was amazing! Now I understood why Han moved out of the Falcon to live above it! "Let's hope you don't run into Volt. Still what's the harm. You don't work for her, after all. Just... just don't get carried away. Remember I still have to grovel..."

Kurt shook his head. "Don't worry. I won't make life harder for you... today," hr said, smirking.
They reached the Rotunda in no time. "I might go see Sora, see if he has any special jobs he wants done. If I show my willingness to do things, it may give me an advantage," he said just outside, where they wouldn't be picked up by any hidden mics.
------------
Dawn broke out into a run as a group of armed humanoids burst out of a nearby building after Dusk. She zoomed past him with ease, but he was still moving at a good pace.
"Stop!" a voice cried out behind him.
But yet he kept running.
"Stop or we'll shoot!" another one yelled.
"Not on my watch," Dawn muttered, jumping. Just as he did, he activated the thrusters in his boots for the first time. His piloting systems kicked in... and just like that, he was flying at very high speeds, catching up with Dusk in no time.

Duskbringer
Dawn was suddenly beside me, flying on his own. I smiled politely at him, before hearing a bolt fly off the back of the speeder. Piloting with one hand, I took out my blaster rifle again, and looked behind me to see the security troops running after us.
I stared at one of them, my sensors homing in on him.
Target acquired. Locked on target.
I fired, and it hit him right in the face, sending him to the ground with a yell.
That wasn't all of them, though.
"They look like a persistant bunch," I said to Dawn. "Lets get out into the desert."
I looked forward as we approached the city limits of Mos Eisley...
Rhynna
I scowled, walking towards the Rotunda and seeing Winter. I had been looking for her...it seemed that her idea of welcoming a new Head-of-Security was just to say a few words and run off.
"There you are, Officer Retrac," I told her, approaching her and some random man. I ignored him. "I don't think standard protocol involves going for some kind of joy walk around Coruscant. Get back to HQ now. There's no shortage in work around here."

"I... I'm sorry? What?" I asked, "Miss Volt... I mean, Head of Security Volt, I have been working for the last eight hours. We have scheduled breaks, and mines just happens to be now. I understand you want to make a good impression, but honestly I'm not a robot, I can't work non stop..."

Rhynna
I was silent for a moment, thinking over what Winter was saying.
"You have a good point, but you just got a break, so now its time for you to get back to work. How do you expect the NR to ever be secure if people like you slack off? We have to be attentive at all times. If we're not, the results could be beyond catastrophic!" I told her in a firm and strict tone.
"Head-of-Security Volt, it is obvious that Winter, nor her filthy friend here, know anything about how to properly work," a voice said, and we all looked to see Mr. Solon on the front steps of the Rotunda. "Why the Supreme Admiral keeps them around, I don't know, but he's the leader here. However, you're just going to have to work with this one to get her to actually use some manners and brains. She and Mr. Jervada have little at the moment...they felt the need to barge in on a Senate meeting."

Winter
"A pleasure as always, Mr Solon..." I scoffed sarcastically, "And you wnat to know why the Supreme Admiral keeps me around? Fine, I'll tell you. Both of you. Because I remained loyal to Sora even though all of my friends, and even my own sister did not. I gave up, everything for the New Republic! I attempted to stop my former allies from fleeing Coruscant and was nearly killed in the process. I risked my life for Sora Trok, something which I'm betting you wouldn't do Hunter!"
I was seething now, despite the fact that I was lying. I had true anger in me, and it made me extremely believable. "So, Head of Security Volt, do you still think I'm unworthy of being on the Supreme Admiral's paycheck? Well if it doesn't, frankly I don't care. I have done more for this planet and for Admiral Trok than you know, and doubting me is the very same thing as doubting his judgement in keeping me around."

I blinked, and looked at Solon. Both of our jaws were hanging wide open. I looked back to Winter.
"Well, uh, you certainly are brave...we need that in the NR, people who aren't afraid of...standing up...so I think this shows some qualifications, though we do need to discuss your actual skills later...just watch your mouth..." I said, speechless by her rant.
"You ingrate...I don't know where you think you...nevermind, I have more important things and people to tend to, rather than stand around and listen to you rant. The Admiral and Head-of-Security Volt can deal with you," Solon said, clenching his teeth as he shoved his way past both Kurt and Winter.

I watched as Solon walked away, then turned back to Rhynna Volt.
"I am so sorry, Head of Security Volt." I said, with a sigh,. This was where the grovelling came into play. "Trust me, that outburst had nothing to do with you. It's just I'm worked off my feet, I'm having to deal with things left right and center, I barely get any sleep... so I'm stressed and snappy. Plus, everyone knows that myslef and Hunter Solon do not get along. I try my best I really do, but I just find him impossible..."

I hesitated for a moment, then nodded slowly.
"I suppose I can....see your point. Solon wouldn't be my top choice for Chief-of-State, but its not my job or position to decide that, and regardless, he was who the Admiral appointed, so I will be loyal to him," I told Winter slowly. "However, Supreme Admiral Trok is in charge here, not Solon. Unlike my predecessor, I report right to the Admiral himself...and thats how it should be."
