Yeah, I will chief.
Niko struck the enter key and returned to looking for the perfect story. "Ah man." he said, disappointed. He didn't want to have to stay up all night and possibly miss his morning classes doing this. No sir, if he was going to run out the door and trip putting his shoes on, it had to be for a worthy cause.
Gasp! And no more worthy a cause was there than the one his eyes just flicked across. In the description of a story, Niko recognized an encryption code he was familiar with. Placing the encryption code and the description of the story into his wristwatch's special application it was revealed that this story in it's decrypted form was a romance story about a Rebellion hero and an Imperial sympathizer.
Rubbing his hands together, Niko cut and pasted the story's first chapter into a similar application deep inside his computer's database. "Story time!"

Len, her cousin at fifteen, met her at the ground station with her baggage already in his hands. “Hi, Abbi,” he said in a monotone voice.
She had to look up to see him now, but he wasn’t too tall. His voice had change for sure, and it looked like he might’ve been growing facial-hair on his uber clean appearance. “Wow, you’ve changed, man.”
“Yeah, a little,” he said, deadpan. They waited for a couple of moments of awkward silence before he said, “Your hair’s longer.”
Just make the best of it. Len wasn’t really her favorite cousin. Two years her senior, you would’ve thought he’d been more emotional, or at least show some more affection. He just did his own thing and lived in the world of swoop bike racing and weight-lifting. He looked like the weightlifting was starting to pay off, because he wasn’t as chunky as the last time she’d seen him. “So how’s everybody? Aunt Bobby and everyone, I mean?”
Len shrugged. “They’re okay.”
“Okay,” she muttered. “Still can’t believe NaNa went to Onderon. Crazy, huh?”
“Yeah,” he agreed. “Crazy.”
And that was the end of their riveting conversation, except for one or two remarks about where Aunt Bobbie and Landyn were. Apparently they’d decided to stay at the house with Uncle George since Landyn was sick with a stomach bug. The vomiting stomach bug, wihch had to be the worst. Abbi had never quite gotten over her fear of that, and resolved not to go near Landyn until she was completely better.
Len was of legal age and his mom had gotten him a speeder from a shopping thing on the HoloNet. Abbi, a little apprehensive of his driving, climbed in. The farting man from the plane was getting in his speeder a few lines away. She reached up to turn on the radio, but Len quickly turned it off. “My mom put a program that tracks it until I’m of age,” he warned.
“Oh.” Shoot me now if this isn’t overprotective... “Speedometer checks, too?”
“Yup.”
“Great.”
“Yeah...”
They lived in a subdivision on top of a rocky hill, and Len had to maneuver around the curves to avoid falling off. She could recall a time when he scared her about going up the mountains, how speeders just ran off the side of the road and into trees...
She was over that now. She hoped.
She just really, really didn’t trust his too-careful driving.
He parked the speeder in front of the familiar home, and Abbi sent a quick text message to her friend Dason, who’d been talking to her on the entire flight. I’m here, bbl. She put her computer bag over her shoulder and grabbed her little red suitcase and the other bag of toiletries. “So... know how long I’m staying?” she asked.
“I thought you knew.” Monotone.
“Nope...”
The reception inside left a little to be desired. Aunt Bobby yelled “Hey Ab” and gave her a hug, Uncle George gave a wave by his seat and Len went to go watch the swoop races. Landyn was having a nap.
Abbi unpacked her things in Len’s room, keeping them all out of reach of Landyn’s little hands, and took out her phone. It was early morning on Corellia–maybe about seven or so--but it was night on Borelias, so she was feeling the jet lag already.
She joined Aunt Bobby in the kitchen and helped her prepare breakfast. After a few ‘how you doin’, huns?’ they got into a routine. Landyn joined them, but she didn’t look sick until after breakfast when she suddenly screamed, “I pooped my pants!”
Abbi kept her head down and continued to eat her bacon.

ty.[/t] Deej simply typed, while occassionally doing a bit of writing or various other small things as he went in between convos and listened to the chaos of his house, and his mind was still on the total surprise and probably wrong choice of Ellie giving him the speeder, he still doubted he was going to use it
But you never know... he told himself Could need it someday.

Immersed in the story of the Rebellion against the Empire, Niko's jaw slackened and the only thing that moved was his finger and his eye as he scrolled down the page. In the real world, talk of such a rebellion was just that, talk. It was unlikely anyone was ever going to take any real action against this rapid centralization of power. But here, inside of the world of underground literature, rebellion was not only real, it was romantic.
In the story, a simple man who washed up in a cantina one day found the entire city being attacked by the Empire. Instead of waiting to be killed by the conquering Imperials, he took matters into his own hands and slowed their advance long enough for the city partisans to take up arms and repel them.
Of course, every hero has his weaknesses. And this man's came in the form of a beautiful Zabrak dancer with long, thick red hair and a pair of hips that could knock out a Hutt the way they moved. When the conflict started over the city, they joined opposing militias and found each other fighting on opposite sides. Until finally, she was sent to assassinate him. Fighting each other with their bare hands, the two enemies became engulfed with passion and made love in the stock room of the neutral-ground cantina where they both worked.
Even though viewing this story must have been treasonous due to the subject matter, it was enough to give Niko a romance heart attack. His chest swelled and he double-checked the door lock before dancing about the room like a fool. After passing about thirty straight minutes into the morning doing this, Niko sat down on his desk to finish the story. He nodded off, however, before he could get much further.

Abbi died.
She quite literally died, doing a faceplant on her AeroBed as the day edged to night. The jetlag was overwhelming, and she slipped into sleep without even taking off her clothes.
She was thirsty. She needed water, or she was doing to dehydrate. She rolled out of bed, licking dry lips, and rubbed the sleepiness out of her eye. She tiptoed past everybody’s rooms and to the kitchen, reaching up for a glass for some water...
And then the dream stopped, and she was quite suddenly awake. She lay there for a few moments, wondering if she should go and get a drink, and decided she might as well. Somebody had covered her with a blanket, and she slid out from underneath it and hit the carpet with her socks. She took them off, preferring to feel it with her bare feet, and stood a little woozily.
So tired...
She staggard towards the kitchen, and as she did she began to wake up. She reached the linoliem when something went wrong.
Somebody was whispering at the garage door. She glanced around the kitchen for a knife, fully aware it might’ve been George taking his pets out, when she heard the door open.
The footsteps that were coming out were not his.
She reacted on instinct, opening the cupboard under the kitchen sink. She folded herself inside, grateful her Aunt hadn’t put her cleaning supplies back, and felt the pipe dig into her back. Heart pounding, she closed the door and listened.
Just the girl, one was saying. Make sure you get her first.
No!
She peeked out of the cupboard just a bit and saw, through the moonlight, the same farting man from the transport. She closed the crack hurriedly, taking deep, silent breaths to steady herself. She pinched herself to make sure she wasn’t dreaming.
Her comlink vibrated. yaaaay ur there, Dason had texted. is time diffnt?
Did they hear that? No, they didn’t. Good.
Landyn coughed a little in her sleep. She heard a quiet pwew of a silencer, and Landyn was silenced. There were another two in quick succession, and she felt her aunt and uncle die.
And then Len.
And then silence.
“Are we done here?”
“Yeah, got the girl. Let’s leave.”
The door opened and closed, and through her hyper-fit hearing she heard a speeder pull away. She climbed out slowly, reaching for a knife in the sink, and ran in a crouch towards Landyn’s big-girl bed. “Landyn?” she whispered, voice shaking. “Are you awake?”
She pulled back the covers and staggered backwards. Hands trembling violently, she dialed an emergency number. “Help...”

It was now morning on Naboo...everyone had mostly left for the day. Most of his siblings were at school, and his parents were off working. Deej stood in the kitchen, pouring a glass of Rasberry lemonade...the TV was still on from when his step-father was watching the morning news right before he left. Right now, that extremely long show "Tomorrow" was on, with those several people hosting.
Jeremy, the only other one home, walked passed him, but they didn't greet each other. However, Deej turned around when he heard that "Galactic Breaking News" music.
He looked up at the TV, which was mounted on the wall, and listened intently.
"This is Maggie Chen, with Galactic News on Channel 6...this is some late breaking news that just came in: On Corellia, a moderate sized local family has been mysteriously and suddenly murdered. We can't release their names, but we do know that they were your average family, nothing suspicious known about them. It was a family of four, and all have been killed. Now, there was one other young relative staying with them, who's name we are also obligated not to reveal, but we can say that she survived and is in government custody. All the authorities have told us were that the murders were very quick...our sources also inform us that they weren't horrific, but its a tragedy all the same, and we are working as fast as we can to find out more and bring you more news as the investigation gets underway. I'm Maggie Chen, Galactic News!" she said, before it went back to the show, who were now talking about the killings themself
Thats so sad... Deej thought to himself Wait...family of four...Abbi on her way to Corellia...oh pft, no. It couldn't be her...Corellia is a huge planet, there have to be millions families of four. Abbi's fine, I'm sure.
Deej's eyes remained glued to the television for the moment, even though Mitchell Lawyer or whatever his name was wasn't saying anything new, but nonetheless he just stayed there and stared.
"What happened to you?" Jeremy asked as he made some toast
"Did you not hear the report?!" Deej asked his brother in disblief
Jeremy almost laughed. "Oh please, the news media is just a bunch of overblown divas...and also, it happens all the time. I'm surprised you even listened to it...wait, actually, no I'm not, because you actually feel sympathy for these people." he said
"Well, uh, maybe its because its sad? A family just getting killed like that...I wonder who the relative was." he wondered outloud
"Nobody of importance, I'm sure." Jeremy muttered

Meanwhile, back on Borelias, an unusually bright ray of sun crept through the blinds, stinging Niko's bloodshot eyes. He muttered in his sleep "Oh Aseemo. I don't care if you're an Imperial." he told an imaginary Zabrak "You and I are the only thing that's important." His face moved around his desk and slathered his cheeks and lips with his own spit. In response to this new wetness, he moaned "Your lips bring me a world of pleasure. Don't stop." and began to make smooching noises.
Niko reached the end of the plot line that he had read so far which made him wake up. It was only then, however, that he realized he was over half an hour late to class! "Holy mother of-!!!!" Niko pinched himself to make sure he wasn't still dreaming, nothing. He tried slapping himself, he still wasn't waking up. He banged his head on the desk "Wake... The... Hell... Up... Damn... You...!"
Niko had never gotten ready for school so fast in all his life, he didn't even bother to grab his lab coat or any of his gadgets. He literally got dressed and hurled himself out the door toward the college. People loitering around on the sidewalk were surprised by the unusual phenomena of something that appeared to be human breaking the sound barrier on it's way toward the university.
Just as Niko was ready to make the last leg of his super-sonic footrace, he was stopped in his tracks by a horde or other students standing and looking at something. Caught behind them, it was only by following their field of vision did Niko finally realize the stunning truth. The university no longer existed!
From where he stood, what Niko saw no longer resembled the university. Several explosions had taken place across campus. Both the old and new unions were piles of shrapnel, the library had crumbled into dust and through squinted eyes Niko could see the facade of the building he should have been in thirty minutes earlier.
As if on cue with his thoughts one student said to his friend "It just happened, like thirty minutes ago."
On that note, Niko contemplated what to do now that his schedule had changed dramatically. Eyes as wide as dinner plates, he turned around and walked back to his dorm.

Deej stood in the kitchen for a moment, slightly sipping his lemonade, as he listened to hear if the talk show would have any other news about these murders...he knew it was highly unlikely it had anything to do with Abbi, though...she was fine, and her aunt and cousins and everyone else were just fine.
They switched to weather for a moment, so Deej put the juice bottle up, grabbed his glass, and was preparing to leave, but he heard them break back in for a moment.
"Sorry for the interruption of the weather, but we've just recieved some more breaking news...Maggie Chen is busy on Corellia so she didn't have time to report this, but its just come in that a university, a fairly large one, on Borleais has exploded...we're not sure why, or the casualties or injuries, but we just know that about a half hour ago the majority of it was reduced to dust. We have no further information at this time, unfortunately, but its definitely been a tragic 12 hours." Mitchell said
Deej immediately thought of the school Abbi, Terrorcita, and Niko went to...but no, no, no. Just another coincidence...Borleais was a huge planet! But still...this all happened in the same time frame...
"I'm sure this has you weeping too?" Jeremy said sarcastically, rolling his eyes
"No, um, its just..." Deej replied, kind of stuttering for a moment, as he was completely lost in thought right now, he wanted to assure himself it was all a coincidence, but it was just odd
"Its just what? Oh, you're hopeless. Don't even know these people yet you feel all sorry for them. How pathetic." Jeremy said in disgust
Deej shook his head and rushed to his computer, to see if Niko or even Terrorcita were online.

Niko walked the few blocks back to his dorm all the while keeping that same silent, catatonic expression on his face. Just the same as this being the fastest he had even gotten to school, it was the slowest he had ever walked home.
After making the trip and taking about five minutes to remember the code to his own front door, he arrived in his room. Niko could scarcely lift himself any further but somehow managed to fall upright into his desk chair. What he saw next brought him back to his senses, the same story he had been reading all night was still up on his holonet browser. The first word he noticed in the story hit him hard. ...treason...
For miles around, the sound of a grown man screaming like a little girl could be heard.
Niko was panicking, he had left the browser open for too long and the Empire had finally caught up with him. Now they were going to execute him or worse for treason. That had to be why the school was destroyed when it was, they didn't think he would be late!
Without even thinking, Niko tossed his traveling case onto his bed and threw clothes into until it barely shut. Then, he packed up his gadgets, illegal memorabilia and custom computer in another case until it too could barely close. He threw on his lab coat, goggles and wrist watch and sent a message to his mother in Theed, Naboo:
Mother, I realize you're probably having some spa treatment done or are sampling some expensive Vasarian brandy. I don't blame you, if I were you I'd be doing the same thing. Listen, I don't have much time to talk, but there's something I have to tell you. I never really got a chance to say this, but I love you. I love you always and forever. I just wanted you to know, is all. No cause for alarm.
Not a second after his finger hit the send button, Niko was on his way out the door. He hailed a taxi-speeder and tossed a couple credits into the front seat. "Starport." he muttered to the alien cab driver before sitting back.
The streets rushed by as Niko was taken to the starport. The poor nerd could barely breathe so he rubbed his temples to calm himself "So, this is it." he told himself in a forlorn tone "This is what it feels like to be a rebel."

Deej saw that neither Niko nor Reza were one...a part of him was worried that they were caught in this explosion, but nothing was for sure...they were probably at school right now, studying and learning...yes, that had to be it...but something didn't feel right. It may have been the paranoid part of him, but he was very worried.
***
The Stormtroopers were doing their rounds in a small neighborhood...with all that had gone on lately, it had to be made sure that they checked up on everyone that they could regularly, they randomly busted into houses, and terrorized families until they made sure their weren't any traitors.
They walked down the road, and their was a house on the left...one of the new Stormtroopers turned and pointed at it. "Hey, shouldn't we check that one?"
"Yeah, we forgot that." another new one said
"No. Leave that one alone." the commanding officer strictly ordered
"No, there could be traitors inside-" one started
"Leave it alone, I said." the commander ordered
"Come on guys...commander, we'll be right back." the Stormtrooper said
Several Stormtroopers, fully loaded with blaster rifles, walked up to the front porch of the small little house and busted in...they walked in, laughing as they were prepared to torture anyone in there.
But mere minutes later, a crash was heard, and the commander let out a yell and ran...the Stormtroopers came out next, screaming as high as they could as they ran for their lives.
"THE DEVIL'S SERVANTS ARE NOT WELCOMED IN MY HOUSE!!!" a woman yelled, and Sister Ethea came marching out as the Imperials ran "Thats right, the Lord will always show you all justice, you dirty sinners!"
Sister Ethea held her Bible in her hand, she began to read verses again, right there on her front porch...however, suddenly she stopped. "Hmm....I think God is telling me that its time for more of his work to be done...the sinners are at it again!" she suddenly exclaimed

Niko strode into the front gates of the starport. He was expecting an entire storm platoon to intercept him and shoot first, shoot later, shoot some more and once his body was thoroughly unrecognizable try to ask a few questions. But nothing like that happened, even after he sat in a bench waiting for his fate to claim him for about thirty minutes.
Then out of nowhere, Niko suddenly felt equal again. He wasn't going to sit and wait to die, he could have easily done that back at the dorm. "Well, as long as those Stormbastards are running late," Niko decided "I should at least try to put some distance between them and I." He reached into his electronics suitcase and pulled out the three things he could never be without. A molecular clamp, a precision laser knife and his computer.
He went up to the ticket claiming line and waited for his turn. Once at the front he gave an assumed name, Craigen, and claimed he was there to claim a ticket for an express flight to Corellia. The woman behind the desk, try as she might, couldn't seem to find his name.
Niko, however, had practiced this ruse a dozen times. While her back was turned looking for flight cancellations, he reached over and exposed the wiring of her computer with the laser knife. He then shunted the wiring using the molecular clamp.
"Hey lady." he told her "I'm gonna go to the refresher. When I get back, we'll try again." And off he went to the 'fresher, luggage and computer in hand. In a classical holovid moment, Niko sat inside of a refresher stall and used his computer to add his name to the list of payed customers on the next express flight to Corellia.
After relieving himself for real and washing his hands, Niko waited in line again and claimed his tickets without fail. He retrieved the clamp as well by "losing" his ticket behind the computer and reaching in to grab it. Getting through security was a piece of pie as well, because Niko's suitcases were made of the same material smugglers used to bypass scanners, another little thing he had custom made.
"My evil plan is working." he laughed nervously, feeling kind of sick. Now all he had to do was get to the inner terminal and wait for his freedom bird. On the way there, he decided to remotely access a news terminal by placing a wireless device on it and using his watch to display the news while he bought candy in the spaceport magazine store. He paused the newscast to pay for his stuff, just as the report about Abbi and her family was going to play.
As he sat at his docking bay, munching on miniature blob candies, Niko piggybacked a message and bounced it off of several different frequencies to make it hard to trace. Somehow, with all the bouncing that message did, it was able to get to his friend Deej in Naboo.
Deej, you there? Seen news? Something bad happened to school. Boom!

Deej was so relieved when Niko came on, but his jaw dropped when Niko confirmed that it was his school that had been blown up! He felt like his heart dropped, and just sat there and stared for a minute, before finally typing up something.
I heard but...but...I didn't think it was you! Is Teresa okay? Have you heard about the murders on Corellia?! he frantically asked

Reza... Niko couldn't believe he had forgotten about her. Hopefully she was busy being truant and hadn't been hurt. Rapidly copying his previous strategy for signal bouncing, Niko punched in his message.
No idea about Reza. I'm on the run, treason. What murders?
Not once during his texting frenzy did it occur to Niko that the murders and the bombing could be connected or even that they could involve anyone but him. In his irrationality, he actually thought he was the cause of an entire university's bombing and was the target of an Imperial manhunt.

Treason?! What do you mean treason?! Deej IMed, before deciding to send another one As for the murders...now I doubt it means anything, but there was this report of a family of four being randomly and mysteriously murdered on Corellia...and a relative, who was staying with them, survived...the names haven't been released...but it just worried me. However, I'm sure its nothing.
He was nervous now...Reza's fate was uncertain, and who knew where Abbi was...Niko was involved in treason, and their school had been blown up!
