Okay, a very interesting series this is. This is the latest EU book series in the SW series, and its probably going to be a very legendary one and perhaps one of the most crucial. To me this series is so huge it surpasses the Yuuzhan Vong War series, and is as huge as the Thrawn Trilogy is.

Its about Corellia(Han Solo's home planet) rebelling against the Galatic Alliance, and later Jacen Solo turning to the Dark Side and building up in power in the GA. Huge and minor characters are killed off in about every book in this series. Now I know some of you SW fans who haven't heard about this series or read it are thinking "Yeah people die in every Star Wars book series" and thats understandable because they do, but coming from a huge SW fanatic who knows about every series in detail like me is saying this is no joke. We see some huge well known characters die in this series.

This series has rocked and is two books away from being finished, and has had a great batch of authors(Aaron Allston, Karen Traviss, Troy Denning) and while some I wasn't huge fans of before this series, their writing have made me big fans.

I think the thing that shocked me the *most* was the death of Mara Jade Skywalker, written by Karen Traviss and the idea was pitched by her. Traviss can take risks, but this was the biggest risk of all and I think was even bigger than the death of Anakin Solo in the Yuuzhan Vong War series. We've seen other huge deaths in this series(Cal Omas, Lumiya, Alema Rar) but this is the hugest of all. Mara is known by non-EU fans, and I think the biggest character who was not in the movies.

I really want to know how this series ends. Its gonna be intense, thats for sure. The next book to be released is called Revelation, and the cover has a very warped Jacen/Darth Caedous with a red lightsaber and TIE FIGHTERS behind him. I knew Star Destroyers are still used but Tie Fighters? Never heard of them still being active.

Then the final book, Invincible, has the cover of Jaina Solo fighting someone...its assumed to be Jacen, but who knows.

So we'll just see how the rest of this series plays out.

Jacen needs a serious attitude adjustment. This is one of my favorite book series, and I'm on the edge of my seat as it is. Karen Traviss brought back in Boba Fett and his graddaughter Mirta Gev, and Revelation will probably be the last book with him in it. I just loved how Aaron Allison portrayed Allana, whose first reaction was to stick her gradma, Leia, with a 'safety stick' used to knock out rontos.

LotF is the best series, in my opinion. I'm really loving it.

Well, I am far interested in the Legacy Series, unfortunately, I haven't got my hands on it since there's ain't any of it in the local bookstore. O.o It's been very ages. Oh well.

EDIT: Jacen sure sounds he's really emo. That why he gone to the Emo Side of the Force.

This series is insane. Nothing is bigger in the SW universe in my POV. I want some questions answered. Like why is there no Solo descendants in the Legacy comic series with Cade Skywalker? And where are the Hapan desedants? And what happened at the end of Jacen's rule?

Personally, I hope Mira Gev tears Jacen's hide into bite-size pieces and feeds them into a Star Destroyer engine.

could be that jaina marries jagged fel and emperor roan fel could be there descendant...that would explain fel and his daughter being force sensitive.
also they already have another series planned after legacy of the force
that could have ben as an ultra powerful jedi facing off against jacen

I'm mad though a bit.
Why is it, that all of the major plotlines - with the x-wing exception, have to have darned members of the even more darned skywalker family playing prim in them.

It gets tiring after a while.

I just hope Jacen dies in this series. Painfully.

I agree, Auron. Alot of the people in the books say he's not insane, and maybe thats true, but I think he is. I dunno, he just seems so psychopathic. Killing his aunt, etc.

I am only about like half-way through Revelation, and Karen Traviss really got on her game in this one! I knew she would go out with a bang, but THIS? Much more than I expected. So far this book has been really great, and a fantastic addition to the series!

Carid and Vevut waved him back, and he took cover with Mirta. The whuump of the exploding charge left the hatch hanging wide open; Vevut ripped it to one side with a crushgaunted hand, and fire spat out the hatchway. If Daala hadn't wanted the ship largely intact, it would have been over by now. A volley of bolts stuck Carid in his beskar chestplate and smacked him against the bulkhead. He made an animal grunt of annoyance.

"Ah, I love it when you boys get saucy!" he wheezed. Fett heard the shunk of his gauntlet vibroblade. "Come here and say hello to your uncle Carid..."








That just has to be my favorite two paragraphs in the entire book. >.> True Mando combat attitude.
