There’s a blur between R/L and reality, at least there used to be. Now, for me, it’s all becoming more defined, and more spaced out. I can’t really explain it, but it’s like I’m learning to separate RL and ‘net more and more, and part of me thinks it’s good, but the other part hates not being close to my friends. Why should I not say anything about my day today just because they weren’t there? Just a little mental thingy I’m trying to work out.
So I spent the night at boomermassacre’s house, and it was pretty fun. Lemme give you a rundown of what we did:
I came here, put my stuff down, watched a movie and ate pizza. Yuuuuum. Then we got up before the movie ended and went to play on the computer. So I brought my laptop, power cord, and internet wire with me so all I had to do was plug into their router. So I did, and me and her sat down on different computers just chilling in each other’s company.
You see, I hate it when I go to somebody’s house and they have to have a plan for everything. It’s like they make little checklists to keep you busy, or they just talk too much. At BM’s it was different because we didn’t do any of that stuff and it was actually fun because we’re both computer geeks and slightly antisocial. Sometimes we’d look at each other’s screens and laugh at stuff, but other than that it was pretty cool. I even watched two horror movies on YouTube. I recommend the Ring series.
So while I’m doing this her little sister Ginny comes over and… I don’t really know how to explain it. It was like being cornered by a person who really wanted to explain the workings of a flashlight. Except it wasn’t a flashlight—it was a story about Pika and Chu from Pokemon and how two evil slinkies corrupted them. She even had visuals. I thought it was kind of cute, but I think it went on for a long time and I began to get annoyed until she had to go to bed.
So her parents went to bed and me and BM had the place to ourselves. Yay! So we watched the beforementioned horror movies, then at about 12:30 her dad comes in to say it’s lights off. So I just get off, but I’m hit by the sudden urge for a soda., and that’s never happened to me before. I was literally gonna die from soda-starvation, if that’s possible. And guess what these two parents have in the refrigerator for their kids? Water… and beer. And there was this dark looking stuff in an open bottle that looked like tobacco spit. *shudders* So we FINALLY find some soda, but…
OMG IT’S DIET PEPSI.
I hate Pepsi, but I was dying. >.>
So we go to her room, but it’s too small for the both of us so I elect to sleep on the couch in the living room. We get a pillow and I get into a cozy chair. BM leaves and I’m asleep. The rest of what happened was a blur, so I’ll try to explain it best I could because these are actually the most vivid parts of the stay there
I remember waking up because people were walking around, and it felt like things were going crazy. I didn’t know what time it was, but I thought something bad was happening but I couldn’t get out of my chair. Her dad said, “Honey, it’s Morgan.” Morgan is BM’s best friend in Germany. I drift out of it a little bit, satisfied nothing’s wrong, and then I feel somebody over me. I open up my eyes and her dad is standing in front of me trying to put covers on me. I remember saying ‘thank you’, but I was back out before I said the second word.
Then BM’s in the kitchen talking to Morgan and I heard my name being said. She was saying something, like teasing me a little (all friends do) and I remember saying, “Did []not…[/i]” and falling right back to sleep. >.>
So a bit later I hear something barking outside, and it’s Midnight, BM’s energetic dog. I just close my eyes and attempt to fall back asleep, to no avail. Her dad comes out again and lets the dog in. Midnight jumps on me, but I pretend to still be asleep (antisocial, remember?) and then her dad leaves. Little later Midnight jumps on me again. I finally decide that the next time she does, I’ll lay down and pet her.
I ended up petting her for half an hour and every time I’d stop she claw at me. -.-
So later I just get up and go play on the laptop, but the internet’s STILL not working until her dad came in when the sun was beginning to rise and fixed it for me. I thanked him for the blanket again, and got on my vunderful computer.
So then her mom got on the computer, her dad left with Ginny for Girl Scouts, Teresa got on the phone again EARLY in the AM to talk to Morgan, and me and her mom were just laughing at some of the stuff we were doing on the computer, and she got me into Facebook again.
So I got to talk to Morgan. She’s okay, but still, bit strange to have a stranger talk to you from Germany. Seems nice though, and I hope she feels better.
And after that we just went to Chik Fil A for lunch, then to Walmart were I saw Awesome Eyes and his daughter, who is apparently OCD. Then we went to the park near the beach. We climbed trees, I literally shredded my sock, they took pics, and then we jumped down a smallish cliff on to the beach.
OH MY GOD.
It was AWESOME. The beach was practically deserted, and there were these SILVER trees on their sides, HUGE trees that looked like they came right out of Lord of the Rings. I’m serious, first thing I thought was that this would be a perfect setting for elves. We climbed a LOT of trees, and that was really fun. I ended up hanging from a tree by the bottom of my arms and skinned them up, and then I fell into a hole and got my leg stuck. And then, my favorite, was when I got off a real challenging tree, ran to catch up and BAM! Walked right into what felt like the hardest, pointiest branch. It just missed the center of my throat and went right to the side, scraping it (still awesome) and it hurt, but I didn’t feel blood so I shook it off as a bruise and moved on. Then BM looks over and says, “Hey, Abby, there’s blood on your throat.” It’s an awesome-looking cut ^^
Let’s see what else… After that we just went to Dairy Queen, then to Staples, and then back to her place. We did the computer thing, we talked with Sarah on MSN, and then dinner, and then I went home.
And then I ended up typing this.
So yup, it was fun at her place, hope to go again. ^^
Because I know she’ll be reading this, I’m gonna say this: It’s your turn to come to my place!
