Empire at War

Ya! So what did you think of this game?

Empire at War is basically a strategy game where you manage your ships and troops etc, not something I am majorly in to, and thats why I got a lend of the game rather than bought it.

I thought it was OK. I preferred Battle for Middle Earth etc. It could have been better I suppose. But I loved the inclusion of Raymus Antilles and Mara Jade as heroes

To be honest, I didn't like it. At all.
I think it suffered the most from them trying to combine space and ground war. And this combination killed it. As neither was as deep as was needed.

If I want to have a space combat game, I will play homeworld. It's just soooo much better.
As to ground bases RTT's (that's essentially what it's ground combat is) I will rather go and play ground control II, rome, or any other of the total war series.

I actually found it really hard to play. Not like other games in its genre.
