The Cast of Lord of the Rings

Does no-on else think that the casting for Lord of the Rings was exceptional? Other than the awesome story, the acting played a major role in the success of the films.

I mean Christoper Lee and Ian Mc Kellen are legends, the just add a few more awesome actors such as Hugo Weaving, Karl Urban, Liv Tyler, Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood, Vigo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, John Rhys-Davies, Sean Bean, Dominic Monaghan and much more and you've got a star-fest!

So what do you think? Any stand-out performances?

The stand out performances for me were by Viggo Mortensen and Sean Bean. I hate Orlando Bloom. In this he just about passes for a "i can just about stand you" badge, and thats only because of the banter between him and Rhys-Davies. Who was great But yeah, the two i mentioned first are the stand outs for me. Everyone did a decent to exceptional job.

I actually liked Orlando Bloom in Lord of the Rings. I hate him in just about everything else, but not in this.
