For the Lotro Series I'll go with the elves but if it was D&D I would go with dwarves elves have sucky constitution.

I'm not a master of either of these species academically, but I can say I'd prefer to have elves serving me rather than dwarves.

One doesn't wanna seem prejudiced against dwarves but they do seem a hamfisted lot at times...
