So which LotR character do you like better? Elves or dwarves? These aren't the happy-go-lucky characters you see in Santa Claus. I like the dwarves a lot more than elves mainly because they're small, they're not claustrophobic, and they enjoy being grumpy to their Elvish neighbors.

Dwarves for two reasons. One there just so stubborn and stead fast they actually hold to ther oppinions plus they don't betray each other as much as the elves. Also The dwarves weren';t created by Illuvatar so they are set appart more then the other races from Fate. Wait... that was three reasons...

Well, for one, I never liked runts. And the tragic backstory, the Noldor's betrayal of Valar, their battles with Sauron and the evil chained in the dark was just somehow so compelling. Or the story of Melian, Luthien and even Arwen. It's just something, the dwarves can't combat. Thus Elves>Dwarves. Not to forget their tragedy, when they found out, that the orcs, were their corrupted kin. I just miss the drow

Its nice to se that someone else read the Silmarilion. It might just be the best book in the entire LotRs series. Also there are Dark Elves in LotRs its just that most die out after the noldor come to middle Earth but a few survive adn end up doing alot of damage.

Well, they weren't exactly evil And I know, there was one dark elven smith. But he was more like an isolationist. And I actually prefer children of hurin But, the Hobbit is just the most beautifull of the books.

The Hobbit, is in fact my opinion, is the best book I've ever read in my life.

Oh I gotta go with Elves. I simply love elves. They're so beautiful, and they're so mystical.

I went with Elves mainly because of the elemental magic. If you guys played LotR: The Third Age, you'll know who I'm talking about. Elves are the coolest. Dwarves were a close one, though.

You know what I find interesting. The gals love the beautiful elves. And the guys fell in love with the dirty, beer drinking, ego wielding runts .
