Welcome to Game Reviews! I came up with this idea for the members to review games they own and give their opinions on them, but I would like to say a few things first.
#1: First and foremost: Each review will, obviously, be the personal opinion of the reviewer. I don't want to see any flaming or arguing or bashing over a review. It's ok if you disagree, but be nice when you post your disagreements.
#2: In order to keep things neat, I don't want to see multiple threads (at the most, more than 2) about one game if your review is mostly the same as the first one. If theres a few things you feel a certain way about in a certain game, just reply to the review thread about that particular game (if it has one).
#3: I believe your reviews should be organized and orderly. No one wants to wade through a bog of horrible grammar and spelling errors to find out what you feel about a game. Spellcheck is your friend. Use him but don't abuse him.
#4: While you will be putting most of your time into the overall review, it's nice to make a little summary about each aspect of the game you are writing about. For example:
Graphics: (A brief statement about the graphical quality of the game)
Sound: (Same thing here, except sound instead of graphics)
Entertainment: (Same...)
Controls: (Not the control scheme the game uses, but how good or bad they work for that particular game (some people feel using the Back button on the Xbox 360 Controller to throw grenades in Mass Effect was a bad design choice, for example.))
And of course, your main post will elaborate on each of these things, and any other things you want to talk about.
At the end you will post your final score, which is a number between 1 and 10. 1 is garbage, and 10 is damn near perfect. Each number in between is more or less self explainatory, the higher it is the better the game is. And please refrain from giving us "0.5's". I don't see how these help the score at all. For example, it's either an 8 or a 9 for a game, not an "8.5". >_<
Ok, I'm going to leave you all alone now. Go out there and review some games! I'll be reading each and every one .
Now for my first review... is it true that in space, no one can hear you scream?
