Oblivion is a FPS RPG set in a medieval/fantasy world where magic is common and combat a fact of life. It is the fourth Elder Scrolls game (not including spin offs) and it puts the players in cyradill with the task of fighting off the forces of oblivion to save the world.
So have you guys played this game and if so what do you think about it? What are the good points and what are the bad?
Personally I think it is a very well done RPG which although it lacks some of the diversity of others (like Morrowind its predecessor) plays very fluidly with a much better combat system. The story is slightly lacking but it does have its good points. The graphics are amazing and there are truelly breathe taking views in the game... but the best feature is by far the Construction Set. This powerful and intuitive tool allows anyone to make a mod, and has lead to some amazing mods being released that improve the game ten fold. (two of the best are probably Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul and Martigens Monster Mod, both of them massively rework the game play and get rid of the very annoying "leveling" of monsters)

i play it its a really cool game for about an hour and a half, then i get bored because either something killed my horse or i forgot where i left it  |

Yes. Bastard developers are probably sitting there pissing themselves with laughter at how many people the horse annoys...

it would be cool if you could get the horse to eat people then it would counter the fact the horse is more annoying then a little cousin who wants your psp

Yeah you can get Daedric Armor its the best heavy armor, also who actually uses a horse  My character can out run a horse by a long shot... of course my character's race is modded... |

Armor is level obtained, I think Daedric shows up around level 20 if I'm right. I've had Oblivion since the day it came out  |

I love how people bitch about the horses. I have a question how many of you actually rode on a horse? I have it not as easy as you might think. So I for one think that the horses live up to their real life counterpart.
I like Oblivion being a six year morrowind vet. and all it's fun but granted the first 15 or so lvl arn't that much fun. having to run for your life from an Orgre, a Minitor, or a troll for that matter.
Correct Raven lvl 20 for Dedric and 15 for Ebony.

yeah 20 is daedric although you can get Dremora at any level.. although there are other ways to get daedric... however I can't think of where they are other then replicas... also the Dark Brother Hood horse is great, its fast and can't die |

I left it alone for whole days and it didn't jump off a fucking cliff! I leave the Oblivion horse alone for ten bloody seconds and it throws itself off the cliff for no apparent reason. That's the only qualm I have with it. WHY?!?! |
