What are your thoughts on the upcoming presidential election, and out of all the candidates, who do you think has the best chance of getting into office? What are your opinions on the current candidates?
Honestly, I do not know much about the candidates at the moment. I am still keeping an open mind.
I certainly will not vote for Hilary Clinton, though.

Im not an American but Im still interested in the election. There is something I just dont trust about hilary Clinton...I dont know what it is. I would vote for Obama if I could, he seems honest. Many peopl say he is using the fact that he is black to his advantage, in that if he suceeds h will be the first black president. But thimk about it, has he actually campaigned to black people saying vote for me, we have the same color of skin?! No, he hasnt. Which shows that he is culturally diverse. Whereas look at Hilary. She is constantly aiming for the womens vote. Im not saying Obama is perfect. Nobody is. But if I had to I would vote for him. P.S. My facts may not be right as I can only go by what I see on the news where I am and I am in no way trying to influence other peoples votes. Im not an American Citizen and this is my view. Just had to clear that up incase the unlikely event occurred where some government official closed the forum lol

I cannot vote yet, but I will be able to in 2012. My parents, however, are going to vote Republican and I believe they want it to be Romney(since Thompson dropped out). Clinton is the Anti-Christ to my parents and unfortunatly my mom is a little racist(I'm not, i promise) and she's not voting for Obama.

I'm not allowed to vote, but I'd go for Obama. Something just doesn't feel right with Clinton. Obama looks like a pretty good guy. I just hope he knows what he's getting into. There are a lot of black haters in America.

There are a lot of black haters in America. Yes but there are a lot of white haters too. Prejudice is everywhere.

He's a converted Christian, former muslim. Now I'm not a Islam hater but he dosen't put his hand over his heart when he says the pledge. If his loyalties aren't to America, where are they? I don't like McCain, Romney, Clinton or Obama. But out of those, the one I would want in office is Clinton. At least she knows how our government is run.[/rant]

^At least you get to vote your president yourself it's still stuck in the the government here. That means, while the news make it seem like some debate is going on, the truth is, the person who appeases to the parties the most wins. At least it's probably going to be a direct vote next time

You dont get to vote? That seems a bit harsh. But at least you are getting to next year.
Oh by the way, could someone fill me in on how "Super Tuesday" went?

Well, I'm old enough to vote, should I choose too, when the time comes around to vote for the next president. Honestly, I'm the type of person who prefers to stay out of politics, even though I do at least half-listen to some news about candidates and I know a bit about the Democratic and Republican parties. Honestly... well, some people would probably chew me out for saying this, but I'm not sure if I want to vote at all. Yes I know that it's the American right, and if everyone felt that their vote didn't make a difference, then no one would vote. So it is important to vote. However, I think that part of the right to vote also means I have the right to choose whether or not I wish to vote at all. Yes, the right to vote is a very good right, however I think part of that freedom is the ability to decide if you truly wish to vote or not. Let me put it this way: Let's say that someone said I *have* to vote. Would it be a right or a freedom, then? No. It wouldn't. Even if I still had free choice on how I voted, if someone said I *had* to vote, it wouldn't be a right or a freedom, I don't think. So yeah... just my two cents. Feel free to debate or point out flaws in my logic if you wish

I'd prefer either Barack Obama or maybe Mike Huckabee to get into office. Its confusing because I'm usually Republican, but their side is so "blah" this time around its hard to side with them at all.
Obama looks like he's got the right stuff. In my opinion, we need a person like him who isn't perfect and has actually ADMITTED to his past wrong-doings and is down to earth. Some of these caniditates try to make themselves look like God.
I just think its time for change. I believe Obama would try to keep racism at bay, from blacks, whites, Mexicans, or whatever. He can re-store more freedom to America.
Hilary Clinton...well, just NO for her as President.

Yeh. Obama could help prevent racism on all fronts. He has even got Arnie's partner supporting him and the Terminator himself is on the Republican side, so there must be some truth in his words.
