How do you Send a Personal Message? To send a personal message, you can do these things: 1. Click on a member's username. This will automatically take you to his/her profile. On the top of the profile, there will be several links. The last link from the left says "Send Personal Message". Click on that, you will have a text box in which you will send your personal message to. 2. You can also go to the top of the homepage, where it says, Hey XXXXXXXX you have XXXXX messages, XXXX are new. Click on where it says you have xxxxx messages. When you click on it you should show up at your own Personal Message inbox (Personal Messaging is like email if you have new messages it will show you, etc.) Then, go to the menubar there and somewhere it should say "new message". Click on that, and you will have that blank text box where you can type, post smileys, etc. To send it to the right person, you must send it to their username. To view a member's username, go to MEMBERS on the homepage, then search for that person. Click on their display name (which is DIFFERENT from their username), and you will end up at their profile, which should show their username somewhere (if you have problems with this, either Post Message me or post in the forum somewhere, preferably at the "Website Feedback" section.

How do I Register? What are the Benefits of Registering? To register, scroll up to the top of any page. Below the site banner, you will see a menubar with links such as "HOME", "HELP", etc. You should see the "REGISTER" button to the far right of the menubar. Click "REGISTER" and just continue from there. Be sure to select "I agree" after reading the terms of service before registering. Also, after registering, you still can't post until you get your activation key. After you register, you should instantly get an email with your activation key. READ THAT EMAIL! Copy and paste your activation key, click on the link in the email, paste your activation key, click OK and you are an official member that can post. -The benefits of registering? The benefits of registering is that you are allowed to create threads, post messages in boards that guests may not be allowed to access. Also, as a member, you will get your own profile in which you can customize to suit yourself. You will get your own post count, your own member title, you can PM (Post Message) other members, and do many things guests are not allowed to do. And don't worry. Registering is COMPLETELY FREE! You will not be charged a cent, and if you are concerned about getting spam mail from other members, have your email hidden from the public (you can do that via the profile). To edit your profile, you must be logged in and click PROFILE on the menubar at the top.

How Do You Create Threads/Polls? Firstly, make sure you're in the right area of the forum. If you're on the homepage, reading this post, you can't create threads right now. However, when you go to the homepage, and click on a board, you should enter it and see threads which are already in the board (if there are no threads, then that means no one has started one). To create a thread (or poll), go to the top of the screen, just below the banner and menubar. There should be icons that say "Create Thread" and "Create poll". However, sometimes you can't post any threads or polls in a board. If you can't create a thread, then that means you are not allowed to post. In certain boards, such as this board, only staff members can create threads. Bookmarking [/b][/u] What is bookmarking?Bookmarking is when you "bookmark" or "remember" a thread so that you can re-acess it if needed. This is useful for when you have an important thread and you want to remember it. How do I bookmark a thread?Main page>>>Any board>>>Any thread. When you enter a thread, you should see a "BOOKMARK" button on the top and bottom of the thread. Click on that thread to bookmark. If you have done it correctly, the "REMOVE BOOKMARK" button will appear. How do I remove a bookmark? To remove a bookmark from a thread you have bookmarked, click on the "REMOVE BOOKMARK" button. How do I view all the threads I bookmarked?Go to your profile (main page>>>profile) and then next to "Modify profile" you should see "Bookmarks". Click on that and a list of your bookmarks will be shown, ordered from the most recent post. You can then click on one of the bookmarks to access your thread. From my past experiences, though, sometimes when you yourself post in a thread that you have bookmarked, the bookmark may go away. Just rebookmark it.

Karma Many new to Proboards have wondered what this system is. If you look to the left of every person's post, under their avatar, you will see "Exalt" and "Smite". What does clicking on Exalt or Smite do?Clicking on exalt will give someone (whoevers post u clicked on) +1 karma, while clicking on smite gives someone -1 karma. Karma is unimportant, and has NO EFFECT on what the admins think. Who can exalt/smite someone?Anyone can, but only ONCE in an hour. Can people see who has exalted/smited them?NO! PEOPLE CAN'T SEE WHO HAS EXALTED/SMITED THEM! Only the administrators can view it via the security log, and of course, we won't say that "AAA THIS MEMBER KEEPS SMITING THIS MEMBER!!" We won't tell you who exalts or smites you. It is meant to be private. Does the amount of karma you have determine your popularity, importance, your warning level, etc? No! Karma is just for other members to chill out with. It is not meant to bully or abuse other members. It is not to determine how well you are, how popular, etc. If your karma count is very low (in the high negatives) and groups of members constantly spam you by smiting, then the admins would be disabling karma right off the bat. Karma is unimportant and is just used as an extra feature. It isn't really necessary. You know people will have "exalted" you if you see your karma rise above 1, and vice versa for "smited" except you'll see you have -1 and so on. How much karma can someone have? The AMOUNT of karma you can have is unlimited. If you have a VERY high karma count (100+) then MANY MANY members have exalted you, and such. members can only exalt or smite ONCE in ONE hour. What happens if I smite an admin? Will I get banned?Of course not. We actually get a kick out of it. Battle of the Clans [/b][/u] Please visit this link.

What is the 'Too Many Connections' I keep getting ? [/u][/center] For those who experience the Too Many Connections error page. Too Many Connections, also known as TMC, is caused when a server becomes a little overloaded. It's nothing bad; just the server trying to protect itself against a crash. When this happens, please do not keep refreshing your page, as this adds additional stress to the server, and forces the TMC page to keep displaying. If you can manage to get to your site, or have contacts for your members, you can let them know about the TMC, and warn them not to refresh all the time. In this way, you can do your own little bit to bring the server back to normal. Should TMC be experienced for 2-3 days consistantly, please post in the Support board. ProBoards admins will then monitor the situation, and if overload is deemed the cause, they will "load balance", shifting forums from one server to another to bring the TMC under control. Please note, demanding a fix will do nothing. Circumstances must get to a certain point before it will be looked at.
