Okay this is totally unrelated to what I'm going to post about here, but I guess the first thing I wanted to comment/question on was... why in the world does it seem like I'm the most active member in this category so far? O.o
Although I guess it's because... perhaps I like to vent a lot, LOL. However, I think when its done constructively, these sorts of things can lead to good discussions, perhaps.
I guess I just wanted to say... well, miscommunications suck. But they're worse on the internet, because like I've said to several friends many times, you can't see the person's face or hear their tone of voice. Even if you know the person very well, all that you can see is plain text.
Plus it's just tricky with the way the English language is, because to one person, the way a sentence is phrased can mean one thing, when it could mean something entirely different to another person.
So yeah... I guess that's it.

I couldnt agree more!
Its happened to me sooo many times Ive lost count. Peple think Im being sarcastic etc when Im really complementing them but when you actually read what you have written afterwords you can see why they react the way they do. Then ofcourse this is sometimes made worse by the sad people who thrive on conflict on forums etc.

This happens to me all the time, and i think it happens to every one who uses the internet. For example yesterday my freind was downloading somethign and meant to say "load you dick" what he actually typed was "loud your dick" which needless to say confused me.

I know that feeling all too well. The internet lacks voice coloration and it's thus extremely hard to figure out, when someone's being sarcastic or is joking etc.
