NECRO! Let's just say we need more posts Eitherway, I wouldn't fully agree that the president of the US is the most powerful man in the world. Right now, I'd say this is more applicable to oil magnates and a few other people. But yes , the US president comes damn close to that top piedestal of power. And that's probably I'd rather see Obama there, instead of a more traditional hard liner. Since the US needs one heck of a PR campaign in the world so to speak. Alongside with microsoft (which still hasn't learned that it's already lost the format war and just antagonizes people more with it's continued ignorance of ODF, but that's a different matter altogether.) The question with Obama right now is, can he provide the promised change? |

Did anyone else see the inauguration this week?!?!!?
I watched it all, and it was so good, I am SOOOOOO excited that President Obama is finally taking his rightful place in office, and he's not gonna be perfect, but he's already getting to work! He's been hard at work for a few days now, so at least thats a good sign that he's doing something, and from what I've heard, he's been doing good things.

The Inauguration was very good  Apart from that judge. He got the words the wrong way around, therefore Obama didn't know whether to say the right version or the judges version. Apparently the jdge ha sbeen spoken out against in the past by Obama, and that has led to speculation that the error may have been made on purpose, to dnet confidence in Obama. Personally I dont really care. If it was a ploy it didn't work. Obama still most definately ha sthe peoples support. And he has already started putting his promises into action eg closing Guantanamo Bay, and he is slowly but surely rebuilding the status of AMerica in political terms. |
