Well, I'm kinda wondering if we could put together a 40K Rpg, mainly involving the Imperial Guard. Though not necessarily taking place at Broucheroc as the title suggests, just a general statement about the IG.

Out of a million worlds, they were dropped on this one. Beset by Heretics and Daemons, the world of XVII Chi-Sigma, commonly refereed to as Xvii (Suh-vee) due to the numeral designation, is a literal part of hell. For 85 years the PDF (Planetary Defense Force) and untold Ranks of The Imperial Guard have held the line against the Daemonic hordes of corruption, but now a new evil sets its eyes on the molten ball of rock, from beneath the scorched plateaus comes the unholy Necrons, never yielding, never showing any compassion or mercy in their dark quest of the extermination of all life. Now the Imperium of Mankind sends help after nearly a century of absence, in the form of the Ordo Malleus, or the Inquisition. Now, after 8 decades of meaningless blood, the tide of battle turns towards the Humans, as well as the deathless machines eyes. . .

Factions:
The Imperium of Mankind:
The Holy Orders of the Emperor's Inquisition (The Inquisition, or Ordo Malleus)
The Inquisition (The Holy Orders of the Emperor's Inquisition) is a secret organization in the fictional Warhammer 40,000 universe. They act as the secret police of the Imperium, hunting down any and all threats to the stability of the God-Emperor's realm. In fiction relating to the games, Inquisitors are usually represented by extremely powerful, intelligent, and talented individuals. Sent to this planet by Inquisitor Lord Torquemada Coteaz, they are more than willing to go above & beyond the call of duty to purge this planet of the Daemon.
The survivors of Marral come from the planet Marral IV they where formed before the Horus Heresy. The guards where know as the Defenders of Marral, and there Space marine chapter was known as the Grey Hunters.
During the Horus heresy the Defenders of Marral along with there brethren Space Marines Grey Hunters sided with Horus and had many great victories with them killing many of there fellows. It wasn’t until Abel Gilan, a Commissar in the Defenders rose up against Horus and went back to the Emperor that they finally began to switch sides once again. About half of the Defenders and the Grey Hunters Joined with Abel and fought against there compatriots. The battle was bloody and very long taking place on the grounds of Marral, and in the space above. Eventually seeing that they where losing the followers of Horus began to use there battleships to bombard the surface rendering it inhospitable. Only a few survived on either side but they continued fighting until only one ship still survived. The fight continued on that ship until eventually the Followers of chaos where killed. But in all of the fighting, everything had been lost. Marral had been destroyed. Almost all of the Defenders and the hunters where killed and there was a gap in power. No one was left with a higher rank then lower commissars, and sergeants.
When the heresy was ended, a group of grey knights came to the survivors aboard their battleship. They passed judgment on the survivors and sentenced them to not be able to reform there base and relocated to another planet but to live on there battleship and to always fight for the emperor. And they renamed the ship in what can only be irony The Emperors Justice.
Since then the Survivors have wandered the galaxy fighting against the forces of chaos and the alien menaces, and answering the many summons that they get for battle. There are very few Survivors only about 2000 Guards, and 200 Space Marines.
The Imperial Guard
The Imperial Guard are a specific army or faction in the Warhammer 40,000 and Epic tabletop games and universe. The army itself is characterized by being capable of fielding a multitude of lightly-armoured, average infantry in combination with some of the toughest and most powerful tanks in the game. In the game universe, the Imperial Guard is a colossal military organization consisting of many trillions of men and women from millions of different worlds and systems within the Imperium of Man. The 35th Uteegtan (Uht-ee-ghatan) Stormtroopers have been defending this planet for 85 years, relieved that they finally receive reinforcements they can finally turn their full force on the Necrons.
The PDF
The PDF or Planetary Defense force, is the local detachment of Imperial Guard sent to fend off any invasions or attacks until real help can arrive. The PDF of XVII Chi-Sigma was devastated many decades ago in the initial assault, only three battalions remain. But due to the carnage of battle and the process of natural selection, these Men and Women are the best guardsmen on the planet.
The Forces of Chaos
The Death Guard Legion
In the fictional universe of Warhammer 40,000, the Death Guard are one of the traitor legions of Chaos Space Marines. They worship the Chaos god Nurgle and from his 'gifts', they are Plague Marines—men eternally rotting away within their armour but immune to pain or minor injury. The Death Guard has been attempting to capture this ball of rock for nearly a century, and victory seems closer than ever with the Necrons rise. The Necrons prove a valuable distraction, but with the arrival of the Ordo Malleus, things are becoming much more difficult.
The Necron Horde (unplayable)
The Tomb-World of XVII Chi-Sigma
In the fictional table-top wargame Warhammer 40,000, the Necrons are a mysterious robot-like race that have lain dormant and largely unknown by the other races of the universe for sixty million years, and are reemerging in the distant future of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Necrons have become known and feared for their ability to absorb physical punishment, as well as their enigmatic, yet powerful, weapons and technology (Gauss). Necrons are the most technologically advanced race in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and they are made out of living metal (necrodermis). The Necron Lord of Chi-Sigma has awoken, and sets forth on a path of extermination of the plauge of life in the name of his unholy Diety, The Outsider.
