Thinking of getting in on this. If not to get back into RPing and to improve, then to write with my old writing buddies.
Only problem is, I've forgotten a lot about Star Wars over time, only have a basic idea of a character I want to play, and would have an awkward time getting into the flow of things now that you're at a Part 3.

That's okay, Rain, praying your exams all go well!!! And if you want to join, Shadow, that is fine by me. I am always open to new players. SDT is a complex RP with a large plot and large cast, but in all honesty, it is not TOO hard to get into. It is set in the SW universe but largely different from the SW canon; most of the plots are moreso ours and there's a fair mix of OCs and canon characters(with the majority being OCs). So feel welcome and just toss your idea out there!!! Robby also started in this RP, and he's settling in just fine(though he's just that brilliant); and Mando is now returning after nearly a three year absence. You'll do fine. All up to you! Edit: YAY THE OOC THREAD IS TO TWO PAGES AFTER ALMOST TWO YEARS!!! YEEEEEHAAAWWWW!

I suppose I could give it a try. My character may just have to be as clueless as I am in regards to the plot so far. He'll just have to be swept up in it all somehow.
Anyways, maybe I've got too much Mass Effect on the mind with this, but I'm thinking a human who was stuck in poverty for most of his youth. His passion is tech, but could only land jobs in hacking and being the bait for shady employers. So he would be in a lot of trouble on whatever planet he starts out on. While he'd be generally well mannered, he'd be the one willing to do questionable things to succeed, being that he would have had to be ruthless and manipulative underneath his timid and reserved exterior to survive as long as he has.
As for skills, I'm thinking, alongside being able to fix or hack just about anything, he'd have some sort of device that lets him construct stuff on the fly? With that in mind, I gotta wonder what Star War's closest parallel to an Omni-tool is.

Well the great thing about Star Wars is there is a whole heck of alot of room to maneuver in and make stuff up lol. that's alot of the reason it's so popular for RPs honestly if you had your character coming from the Uncharted Regions of the galaxy he would be completely ignorant of events in the galaxy proper anyway so he could be updated about history and stuff in RP.
Also I understand that time of year Rain lol makes sense i have to log on pretty sporadically because of my job anyway so if you wanted to get a plot line moving with Olee that would work fine for me, and honestly Daron has been in your hands longer sir so i feel you should keep him so his character remains the same. Wey was always my favorite anyway xD

Lol, if you insist I'll keep him But if I do anything with him that is a little too out of character dont hesitate to tell me! And yeah Ive got one exam down, another on Friday and then one on Monday and Ill be able to post after that! But yeah one random thing if you're looking for something to randomly post in the meantime is there is surprise party for Han in the Cantina and pretty much all the chracters who are not otherwise occupied are invited Gives us a chance to introduce some of the new characters (eg Wey/Olees sons) etc. And as for more juicy plotlines, a lot of SDT3 is a blank canvas atm. We have a major epidemic plotline coming up but thats way down the line, and a few character specific things here and there, but if you have any idea at all that you think would be cool then just say and chances are we'll end up doing them. I cant recall any ideas anyone has put forward being turned down tbh

Totally agreed with Mando and Rain! In a lot of SW technicalities, I am not knowledgable, but Mando is right in there being sooo much leeway with the SW universe in general, especially an RP like this. And yeah, Mando(or even Shadow), feel free to bring in whatever characters you want to mostly wherever. I'd love something Imperial related! We've been kinda discussing them since you came back Mando, as you well know. I think your return has revived an interest in them. And yeah, Shadow, ideas rarely get turned down in this RP. Sometimes, we may make suggestions in order for them to fit in better with the plot/characters, but I always like to have things very very open to newness and creativity, and so do all the others. Of course, an idea like the entire universe exploding may not pan out quite like you'd want it to, but we often work in just about anything.

Yeah was thinking about it, what if we had Alek Thar (along with any other imperial characters anyone wanted to have participate) Separate themselves from Daala's command and join side with the NR and help them in their hunt for the Resistance. The NR is kind of becoming a second Empire and some of the imperials might want to aid in that transformation from the inside. Which something like that may possibly be enough to make Daala eventually begrudgingly help the Resistance to take care of the traitors.

Oooh that sounds veerryy interesting, I kinda like it!!! Except Alek and co. would probably have to put on a good show to impress Sora at least...even though he is unknowingly transforming the NR into a second Empire of sorts, he still does not like the Imperials at all and views them as enemies that need to be completely defeated and destroyed.

Yeah, he's still in the "doing it for the better good" phase lol i'm thinking if they where to come up with something valuable enough it would work. whether it be capturing a resistance member, or bringing information on the Imperial Remnant, or even a mix of the two it would be enough to persuade Sora to alteast give them a chance, especially with Alek smooth talking lol

Indeed, I definitely think something like that would work to at least help Sora give them a chance; I like the idea of giving him info on the Imperial Remnant, that would entice Sora because, although the Resistance is his primary enemy, the Imperial Remnant has always been something he's wanted to eliminate.

I was actually thinking a rift in the Imp Remnant would be good! I also think that having a few Imps who are technically good guys is a good idea too. I have a few IR characters at the minute, but neither of them could be considered good by any stretch of the imagination! I do however have a few characters planned to pop up who will be Imps, so hopefully i can get a bit more variation

Yeah the Imperial Remnant is one of my favorite time periods/parts in the Star Wars universe. I just like the role they play of being overall an enemy but jumping in to help out when galactic events unfold that they have to for.

Yeah. I also think a lot of Imps see their way as being teh right way and therefoer they are helping people by trying to get the Empire back up and running. I mean look at it logically, ever since they got overthrown, thats when all these wars and battles started happening.

I agree with both you guys....and yeah, kinda funny how our heroes actually have had such a high rate of crime and battles. I am glad you guys want to get the IR back into the game; even though it was already planned, and they were already doing some things anyways, I think bringing them back into them is great. For a while, starting with mid-SDT2, we had so many other enemies and plots(the Black Sun, Mona, Lumiya, Hutt arc, and so on and so forth ) that the Imperial Remnant sort of faded to the background and only popped up at certain times(the attack on those towers, Mon Mothma's assassination, Ardol Vent). Which to an extent was needed for a change, IMO; obviously you all weren't here for this but SDT1 was almost 100% facing off with Vader and the Empire, so I do say it is good to have a variety of enemies. But now that the Remnant has had somewhat of a rest or time on the backburner, it is a great time to bring them fully back into the fray.
