Survival, Dark Times 2

Well, the long, long, LONG RP, "Survival, Dark Times" that spanned across three sites(Vode An 1, Vode An 2, and now Azure-X) and was around three hundred pages or more, has finally ended. But, its sequel is here! In this RP we will be showing the aftermath of the events of SDT1 and we're looking for alot of new players! ;D

If you are new to Survival Dark Times, don't worry, we give a nice little recap of the main events that happened in it all written up. Its a bit long, but hopefully you'll be able to read it all, although there are some places you could skip.

In the beginning of Survival, Dark Times #1, the crew of a Corellian freighter called the Killer (Sora Trok, Fi Kal, Talek) sets off for Corellia to get an ear on the local news. There were rumors spreading out about the Jedi Temple’s destruction and the Jedi ‘enemies’ and their ‘plots for power’, which none of them really believed. They barely lasted three hours on Corellia. As soon as they landed, a young girl of fourteen could be seen running from CorSec security. Whether by fate or dumb luck, they took in the girl and she showed them her hideout. She noticed Talek’s lightsaber and assumed him to be a Jedi. She then stated she was a former apprentice named Tian ‘Scout’ Gash, and that she had been in charge of the blackmarket operation for about a week since the Temple was attacked. Her brother, Nait Gash, had gone off to steal some supplies but was supposed to pick her up. He never showed, and Scout feared that he was sidetracked as she was.

Sora’s crew and Scout made a deal. She would go with them only if they busted Nait out of jail. She went on Sora’s ship and waited patiently for one of the crew to arrive with her brother, which they did. There was then an argument between Jedi and captain about dropping off. Finally, Scout said they had two friends on two different planets, and that her older friend, Jaskia, was protecting the Senator Padmé Amidala at the request of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Dantooine. Her other friend, Naos, was on Onderon.

The Empire had gotten word of a Jedi on Dantooine and launched an attack on the planet, nearly killing Padmé and Jaskia. Sora and the Killer crew arrived just in time. Jaskia, and older, sixteen-year-old girl, was not pleased with the developments, but agreed to fetch Naos as well. After the got him from Onderon, the journey began.

Sora and the Jedi grew a bond of sorts. They became an official part of his crew and saved his butt on more than one occasion. Such as the “Ghost Ship.” It later became known to the crew that Talek was not a Jedi or even a real Mandalorian, but a Sith named Selas Taban. He was in league with Darth Vader and captured two people of the Killer crew, who had caught the Dark Lord’s interest. Fi Kal and Sora’s sister, Trika. Selas had strong feelings for Fi, even after she told him she hated him. He then helped the two escape, but the experiments down in the lower portion of the Star Destroyer had gotten loose and killed all the crew members.

The Killer crew then extracted Selas, Fi, and Trika, but not without injuries. (if you want a more in-depth version of the Ghost Ship, PM us. It isn’t very relevant to the story line)

Later on in life, Scout Gash was captured by Darth Vader, and her friends believed her to be dead. Vader then used a special machine deep within a mining colony to erase her memory and create a new persona: Lady Cerasi, his secret apprentice. She did jobs for him all over the galaxy, and left no witnesses, not even the loyal stormtroopers who served besides her. Jaskia soon left the group after Nait punched her, to form up her own army: the Jedi Ghosts.

The Ghosts were first only Jaskia and a few people she knew had survived the Purge. There were more Jedi than she had lot, and learned to listen to the Force for their specific pulse. Soon, the Ghosts numbered over two-hundred, and she was beginning to train a few Force Sensitive children and adults she had found in the Outer and Inner Rims. Her right-hands were Olee Starstone and Ni Ja’mal.

Two years after Jaskia left and Lady Cerasi was born, the crew had joined the Rebellion on Alderaan and was trying to convince the Queen to take their side. Padmé was a big factor in this political discussion. Two bounty hunters got word of their arrival and informed Lord Darth Vader, who then dispatched Cerasi to get rid of them.

During the Second Battle of Naboo, the Queen was killed and Cerasi nearly killed her brother, Nait. She fought in prolonged combat against Naos, who then knocked her mask from her face and revealed her to be Scout Gash. She escaped, wounded, leaving a stricken Naos in her wake. The Killer arrived with Sora, Selas, and their new co-pilot, an Ewok, at the helm. The crew ended up adding one more person to their ship: a handmaiden-in-training named Darrina Thel-Lehon, whom Naos had a brief relationship with.

Their relationship ended at the Battle of Kamino, between the Rebels and the Empire. Cerasi led the attack, and was coaxed into remembering her past by Naos and Nait. She ran off, and Sora found her under a bridge. There was a brief heart-to-heart conversation before he helped carry her home: back to the Killer.

They landed on Alderaan once again, having lost the battle at Tipoca, and Scout finally woke up. She and Naos had a brief talk, and they kissed one last time before realizing Vader would use their feelings for each other against them. They resolved to be friends.

Meanwhile, Sora and Padmé explored a relationship, and Selas died on Dxun while trying to raise an undead army of Force spirits. I forgot to mention that four years ago, Fi and Selas had a child named Sanji Taban.

TWELVE YEARS LATER

Jaskia, Olee Starstone, Siri Tachi, and Ni Ja’mal aboard the BlueFire give successfully retrieved the Death Star plans. They were ambushed by Darth Vader’s flagship, the Executor, and forced to send the message to the MonCal capital ship shadowing Leia’s Tantive IV. It was a peace offering, was Jaskia’s reply. When the message was foreworded to the Tantive IV (with Darrina, Scout, Naos, and Leia on board looking for Obi-Wan Kenobi), the Executor followed.

Darrina pushed Scout and Naos into a pod together while the droids got into a separate one. After a few bumps and bruises, the sorry-looking pair managed to make it to the farm of Owen and Beru Lars. Under the names of ‘Jaden’ and ‘Cin Drawling’, the two managed to secure a small living space on their property for the night. Owen and Beru knew the two Jedi for what they were, but what really interested the two was Luke Skywalker. Jaskia, Nait, and Scout were in line to be Anakin’s apprentice, and the name Skywalker really surprised them.

Then they figured out that this was really Anakin’s son. And Leia had to be his daughter. They confirmed this from meeting Obi-Wan Kenobi out in the desert with Luke at their side.

Then the normal movie-stuff happened. Except that Jaskia pledged herself to the Rebellion along with her Ghosts and the reunion between Sora, Nait, and Jaskia wasn’t really a happy one. And Naos knocked a guy out for flirting with Scout, but that’s not important.

Then our heroes go on the Death Star, yaddah yaddah. Obi-Wan DOESN’T die, and everyone flies home happy. We ended up skipping the Empire Strikes back since the RP was already two years long anyway, and ended up at the end of RotJ. And Scout and Naos are finally back in their relationship. Jaskia and Nait are sorta in one. Sora and Padmé are practically husband/wife. Ni and Darrina may give one in the future. *hint hint*

Scout and Luke had distracted Vader by turning themselves in and fighting the Emperor. Nait, Jaskia, and Sora rode the Killer into battle. Fifty of Jaskia’s Ghosts were stationed as ground troops for the battle. After a prolonged lightsaber fight, Luke hesitated between killing Vader or letting him live. Scout stopped her aggressive lightsaber fight with Palpatine long enough to give him the smallest Light vs. Dark speech in Star Wars movie history. Distracted, she didn’t see Palpatine move before it was too later, and was impaled by his lightsaber. She died, and the force of her death shot pain through many Jedi’s heads.

It turned out it was not Scout’s Time to die, and after conversing with a Force spirit, she was sent back just as Luke was about to pass out from Palpatine’s lightning-attack. She gripped Palpatine’s dropped lightsaber and thrust it through his chest, killing him instantly. Her lightsaber wound was too much to bear, and she fell down. She asked Vader to help her get rid of the body, and he did, throwing Wrinkly down the reactor core.

Scout was very hurt and dying. They managed to get down on Endor before the Death Star exploded (which Jaskia had a huge part in, flying half of the Killer into the reactor core while safely flying the other half away). Scout was dying, suffering from a punctured lung and spine, and the poison that had leaked through the lightsaber’s ozone smell. Vader, now Anakin, used the last of his life energy to keep Scout stable, and ended up dying as the Force took its’ toll on him.

Scout was sent to Naboo with Naos to rest and recover, (and to give surgeries concerning the torn nerves in her chest) and the others went their own ways after that.

It seemed like, for once, the galaxy might get a happy ending.

Now that you've read that, here is the plotline that Auron(Co-GM) and I devised for this RP:

It is only weeks after the Battle of Endor ended. Tian “Scout” Gash was sent to the Rebel planet of Naboo to recover from the injuries she sustained when dueling Darth Sidious. Her boyfriend Naos Redgrave escorted her to Naboo, and is staying with her until she is well enough to be released.

The Rebel Alliance stayed on Endor for two weeks to recooperate from the Battle of Endor, and set up a small base on the planet. A funeral service was given by Jaskia Paine’s JedI team called the “Ghosts” and the Rebels for Former Dark Lord Anakin Skywalker after he sacrificed himself to help Scout live on.

After this, the Rebels left Endor and headed to the Inner Rim. Sora Trok, Jaskia, Nait Gash, Padme Amidala Trok, and others give all headed to take out the last big powerbases before attacking Coruscant.

However, little do they know that the criminal underworld give their own plans for the Galaxy. Led by the very much alive Jabba the Hutt, many Hutts, leaders, and other powerful criminals give teamed up with an Imperial Council that is full of warlords, admirals, and others that are still alive to take the Galaxy and rebuild the Empire their way.

However, Jaskia also has hidden Jedi on another planet that she has been training for years, for back up and assistance in the future.

Also, a threat is posed to the Rebel leaders; that being Mara Jade. Not many know that she exists, but after the murder of her master and near-destruction of what she devoted her life to, she is looking for revenge and plans to assassinate every single Rebel and Ghost she can find.

After Coruscant is taken, Princess/Soon-To-Be Chief of State Leia Organa must get the Senate under control. However, one problem to Leia is that she will give some Imperial supporters left, not to mention known ones that could even try and make an offensive move against the New Republic/Rebel Alliance. Leia then hires bounty hunters to take care of these problems, but she may give her own assassnation problems to worry about: Along with Mara Jade, the Hutts and Imperials give sent hunters after her first of all, because she is currently the most powerful figure in the Galaxy political-wise.

Leia seeks out a very powerful man, who controls one of the most resourceful and powerful(now that the Empire is gone) systems in the Galaxy to help stabilize the New Republic. But what she, and no one else knows is that this man is psychotic. He is obsessed with women, and kills them after he marries them and has had enough of them! He tells Leia he will only agree to help the New Republic if Darrina marries him! Darrina is reluctant to do it, but finally gives in and begins to live a life of torture under this man.

Luke Skywalker grieves for his father, but he presses on and works on rebuilding the JedI Order. First of all he must rebuild the temple on Coruscant, and since the Ghosts are currently occupied with securing the rest of the Galaxy, he must go out on his own with little assistance to find more Force Sensitives for the New Order.

Han Solo is still madly in love with Leia, and for the time being, is appointed Head of Security of Coruscant. While Han may not like this particular position, he is allowed to handle things “his way”. He must go after high Imperial figures that remain on Coruscant since it would be more useful for the Bounty Hunters to go off world, and handle the active criminal life on Coruscant. But he might just end up discovering some information on the Hutts/Imperials plans.

The Emperor and Darth Vader may be dead, but the battle for freedom is far from over in Survival, Dark Times 2...

PS: This is only the beginning stages of the RP, there will be many more twists, excitement, and probably even more characters as this RP goes on. And some things in this outline I gave might even change a bit, but we’ll see!

Her voice came out clotted with pain. “Please,” she said. “Don’t.”

“It doesn’t feel very good, does it? Like sharp stones in your throat and chest.” The hooded man made another little patting motion, and she slammed into the floor. “It’s the blood vessels I hate,” he continued. “The way they stretch inside, like balloons about to pop.”

“P-p-p-please…”

“But worse than anything is the memories,” he continued, more softly than before. “They crowd around, like flies on meat. Every despicable thing, every petty vice, every little act of spite.” A cruel, strange quiet stretched across the room as the girl lay there, panting on the stone glass floor. Rain ticked against the window glass, and the man’s soft voice went dark and far away. “All the things you should have stopped, but didn’t, and nothing will ever be right again. And the things you’ve done,” he whispered. “But the pitiless stars, the things you’ve done…”

The girl, barely sixteen, moaned and twisted her head to glare at the hooded man with distaste and not just a little pain. Her hair, flaming red, draped across her shoulders, crusted with mud and dried blood. Her piercing green eyes cut through the darkness like a knife. Her hand inched towards the back-up, a large, concealed corotis hunting knife as long as her forearm and just as wicked. She gripped it like a lifeline, but did not strike at the man her Master had invited to the party.

Palpatine could feel her anger. He relished in it, breathing it in like a fume. He appeared from the shadows to stand at the other man’s shoulder. His corpse-like hand gripped the back of the Governor’s neck, and he applied pressure to his hold, strengthening his grip. The Governor did not turn to regard Palpatine. His face went the color of a dirty sheet. Mara felt the pain lessen, and she stood, gripping the hunting knife with white-knuckled hands. Her face was also pale, with sweat rolling down the side of her face. She was breathing hard. She knew not to interrupt her Master.

“What are you doing to my servant?” Palpatine asked in a low, sweet voice.

“I was teaching her humility,” came the stiff reply. “A dancer should not… should not be so proud. She serves us, My Lord.”

Mara knew he was lying between his teeth, and glanced at her Master, hoping he had picked it up. He had. “You do not inflict punishment on anybody within the Imperial Palace unless they are a traitor. And you, my dear Governor, are a traitor.” Palpatine squeezed his hand just once not enough pressure to actually choke the man, but put enough energy into one single burst of Force power that burst the hooded man’s vein, killing him instantly.

Palpatine turned towards Mara Jade, watched her shake and tremble at the power of the Dark Side. “Child,” he said, “follow me.”

And Mara did. Not once did she look back. Looking back, she knew, would cost her her life. And she wasn’t ready to die just yet.

An Emperor’s Hand never looked back.

The dreams. They always haunted her. They followed her around like ghosts, shadowing her every move, mimicking every action. Dreams, she thought, were a distortion of reality. They could be helpful in some ways, but Mara did not often paid attention to her inner pyshe. All that mattered was her Master, her job, and the Empire.

So far, each of those had taken a wrong turn somewhere.

Angry. You could desribe it as angry. Or you could say it was pure, Sithlike rage that drove her. And her Master’s last command:

Kill Luke Skywalker.


Her Master’s last command…

Destroy Jaskia Paine and bring an end to the Jedi.

It would be hard. But Mara was wise, and cunning. If Mara Jade wanted you dead, you would die. She was not prone to attacking by outright anger. She would wait and observe her prey. Her plan would not fail.

It would just take time.

Unfortunately for Luke Skywalker and the Jedi, she felt up to the challenge.

Light filtered through the cracked blinds and draped the room in soft, clear light. The light punctured her eyelids and made her head pound with a steady beat. She involuntarily winced and squinted her eyes open.

“This isn’t Endor,” she muttered thickly, voice cracking at the last syllable. Her throat was dry and held a sour taste. Squinting through the bright sunlight, she propped her self up on the soft, plush bed with the satin sheets and brought her hands to her eyes to rub the tiredness out of them. Her blonde hair, longer and brushed, spilled across her face, unmistakably smooth, like flowing water. Its’ freshly-washed scent brought flowers in mind, and made her feel just a little curious. Her entire right arm was bandaged and put in a cast all the way up to the elbow. When she moved her eyebrows, she felt the distinct texture of a small bandage near her scalp.

When she moved into a more comfortable position, something on her chest seemed to squeeze with her, adjusting to her new position. She looked down at her long, flowing white hospital gown and could see a small bump where the pressure was located. A quick peek revealed a self-adjusting bacta gelatin-patch, nice and warm. Comforting.

The room was large and spacious, with two comfortable chairs in the corner next to the equally-large window, a small table on the other side, and a makeshift kitchen. A ‘fresher was located right next to the bed.

This was not a place she recognized. She glanced around, suddenly anxious. Her lightsabers, where were they? Had she forgotten them on the Death Star?

She remembered collapsing on the ship on the way to Endor. She had blacked out. And now what? Anything could have happened in that time. She couldn’t help but feel a little suspicious of the entire thing. She pulled back the covers and moved her legs around a bit, just to test things out. Still in working order. She set both feet gingerly on the ground and stood. Besides a small cramp in her right leg, she felt physically normal, mentally safe…

A hospital. She was in a hospital.

Not on any planet she could recognize, but it was a hospital, no doubt. Which means there had to be a button somewhere to call a nurse…

There, attached to the head of the bed. It was small and black, with the words ‘Assistance’ printed on it in white. She pressed it. Hard.

”Front desk, speaking.” Scout couldn’t answer at first. She couldn’t find the words to say. ”Hello?”

She cleared her throat. “Where are my friends?”

There was a faint sound of durasheets being shuffled around. ”I’m sorry for the delay, Miss Gash,” said a different voice. ”Um… it says here that Mister Redgrave left this morning on a personal errand. He should be back in an hour.” Scout’s eyes fluttered closed in relief. Naos was here… ”I’ll be down in five minutes to bring you breakfast, okay, dear?”

Scout would have normally protested, but she felt a bit unsteady on her feet. “Alright,” she said quietly. “And maybe you could tell me what happened.”

”Sure I will, honey—Oh, look, there’s Mister Redgrave right now! I’ll send him in with your breakfast instead, if you’d like to talk.”

“Yes, thank you,” she replied. “Thanks.”

”No problem, dear. Just sit tight for a moment. Don’t try and get up or anything until we’ve given you a full checkup, okay?”

“Alright,” she replied automatically. As the comm clicked off, Scout broke her promise and walked over to the kitchen, gaining strength with each step. There were no caffeinated products (who were these people?!) but there were grain bars, fruits, heat-up vegetables, spinach, some weird-looking orange, and eggs. Absolutely no meat. Scout sighed through her nose and picked up the orange. She crossed to the small, three-person table and sat to eat.

Naos Redgrave

I walked through the halls of the Naboo hospital. I had gotten a message telling me Scout was up, and even though they said she "promised to stay put", I knew otherwise. She was probably getting some food herself, so I was headed to the kitchen to find out if my suspicion was right.

The past few weeks had been restless for all of us. I had slept a bit, but not much. Sleeping on the chair in the hospital wasn't comfortable, however I refused to leave Scout's side. After the Battle of Endor ended, Scout had been unconscious except for an occasional very short half-awakening here and there. After a couple of days, she was sent to Naboo and I followed.

She had gotten more and more stable as every hour went by, especially once she was in a proper facility. But, it would be awhile before she would be well enough to be released.

I got to the kitchen, and smiled as I saw Scout standing there. "Nice to finally see you awake," I said as I walked over to her, and didn't hesitate to gently hug her

Why does it feel like my head is empty? I can't even think of anything to think about...

Sora Trok

It had been three weeks. Three weeks since the Death Star was gone, and Palpatine, Vader, and Anakin had died. It was still unbelievable, even now. Despite the well-handled attacks we had on a couple of Imperial compounds, I was still in shock over it all. I couldn't believe we finally got through the worst of the war, and our most vile foes were dead. After seventeen years of fighting, you really got used to it all.

However, I had been distracted ever since we left Endor. Even though she still talked, I could tell Anakin's death had gotten to Padme. It was perfectly understandable, I just hoped she would get over it. But, I knew her, and she'd be fine in time. We all would, its just that Vader going back to Anakin, then dying an hour later...wasn't an everyday event.

Jaskia, Nait, Padme, Erin, Admiral Ackbar, Leia, Luke, Han, Lando, Chewie, Olee, Ni, Darrina, and other Ghosts and Rebels were on the Home One, while everyone else was stationed elsewhere in the Rebel Fleet. We were just entering the Inner Rim, and we planned to take out the most powerful Imperial bases/compounds, to weaken the Empire even more.

And then, we'd take on a huge task that might be as big as attacking the Death Star: Trying to take Coruscant from the Empire. We would need that planet to re-establish the Republic, and help bring stability to the Galaxy.

Avalon and Mon Calamari had been constructing ships and fighters at warp speed for that particular battle, and some of us had even scouted out to try to find more people who would be able to help us now that the Emperor and Darth Vader were dead, and half of the Imperial Fleet had been destroyed.

Unfortunately, this war wasn't over. Not by a long shot.

Scout

Scout winced slightly as a small pain dart shot up her chest. “Hey, Blondie,” she said softly, wrapping her arms around his neck. She kissed his cheek gently. Her moves were slow, hesitant. Her brain had to catch up to the fact that she wasn’t in a suspended healing trance anymore, and that, coupled with the fact that she was tired and groggy, made her sluggish. Maybe it was the painkiller. “Mind telling me what’s going on?”

Naos

I continued to smile as I held my arms around her "Well, you're on Naboo for starters. As you've probably figured out, you're in a hospital. When you, Luke, and Va-er, Anakin landed on Endor, you were unconscious and about to die. Luke got a medical team to you, and while the rest of us realized you were alive and went to your bedside, the med team announced that there was nothing they could do."

And then I sighed. Now, I had to tell her about Anakin's sacrifice. It wasn't going to be easy, but I couldn't exactly stall. "And then...well...Anakin wanted you to live, and while barely any of us trusted, we decided to let him go ahead with his idea. Apparently your bond with him was still intact even after all these years...so he transferred any last energy he had to you...and then as a result, he died..." I explained

Scout

Scout sighed. “At least I was right,” she mumbled. “About him still in there. Sometimes, I doubted myself and thought that he was just going to continue to be cruel and heartless. It’s good that he went away like that. Out in a blaze of glory, you know?” She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, melting in his embrace. Still holding on, she stood from her chair to sit on his lap. She felt no tears for Vader, no grief. Just acceptance. It was a strange feeling. Maybe she had known all along he was dead. If that was so, her subconscious mind would have had more than enough time to grieve…

She huddled deeper into Naos’ embrace. “So… tell me what’s going on now. Then we’ll pack our stuff and meet up with Sora and the others… We can leave today.”

Naos

"Whoa, are you sure? Scout, you were poisoned, bruised, electricuted and Force knows what else. And you've been unconscious for weeks. I'm not sure if the hospital is going to let you out this early to go back into war. Sora, Nait, Jaskia, and everyone else are all in the Inner Rim, destroying Imperial powerbases and trying to weaken the Empire so they can attack Coruscant. Don't get me wrong, I know you are strong and can recover quickly, but it might not be a good idea to go right back into action so quickly." I said to her, although its not like I was shocked at what she said

That was Scout for you, she didn't want to waste any time. And no matter how much I could disagree with her because of it, thats one of the many qualities I love about her.

Scout

She leaned backwards slightly to give him an amused smug. “You’re not going to win this argument, Naos,” she said softly, leaning in to plant a soft kiss on his lips. “How about… we lie and say we’re just going for a cheery family picnic on Dantooine?” She chuckled at his beweilded expression. “Okay, fine, maybe not… But you know we have to get back into the fight. Poor Sora needs our help with Erin and Jask. The girl has a knack for stripping away every tenet of self-control and Jedi hardship, doesn’t she?”

Naos

"I suppose you are right," I said with a mischeivous chuckle "I'd love to leave this place, but I have to make sure you're well enough first. However since you have that charming sense of humour, I guess that means you are closer to making a full recovery than I thought."

Scout

"Naos, this is me being realistic. We don't have time for humor." She closed her eyes again and rested her head on his chest. "We really need to get back into the fighting. Just watch my six, and I'll be fine, I promise..." She stifled a yawn with her hand. A healing trance or two should take care of my wrist... "We're two of the leading members of the Rebel Alliance. If we run from battle to lick our wounds, then the moral of our troops may decrease. If we go there and lead the battle with Jaskia and Sora, we can really win this thing."

"Naboo's in the Mid-Rim, about three to four days away from Coruscant. I bet if we really, really push it, we can make it in two. Only one if we have a good hyperdrive. The attack would take more planning. It'll buy us time. If we leave now we can still make it..."

[Rain]

Han Solo

Han ducked.

The vibro-dagger narrowly missed his head. Han rolled across the floor, made it to his feet and pulled out his blaster. He went to pull the trigger but his attacker kicked it out of his hands with a spinning roundhouse kick. The blaster flew across the floor. There was no way to get to it. It was hand to hand combat or death now.

For at least 30 seconds the men stared into each others eyes, each of them trying to unnerve his opponent. Han made the first move. He threw a punch straight at the man's jaw, but the assailant ducked, grabbed Han's arm and twisted it. This sent Han into a forward somersalt and he soon found himself on his back. Han then noticed his attackerraising his foot to stamp it straight down on his face.

"Not good!" Han muttered

Han tilted his head to the side, he boot narrowly missing his head. He had to get out of this fast. He looked up.

"Ofcourse!" He thought to himself

He rolled backwards onto his neck and delivered a powerhouse of a thrust kick straight up and into the mans groin. The man fell, moaning in agony. Han rushed to his feet, and grabbed his blaster.
Rebel troops began running down the corridor.

"General Solo! Are you all right!"

"Me? Oh... I'm fine..." He panted, trying to catch his breath. "It could be worse... I could be this guy!" He pointed at his attacker who was still writhing in agony.

"What should we do with him?"

"Question him. What else?" Han smiled. He had done his job. It wasn't as graceful as he would hav liked but he had done it nonetheless. Home One was safe. Not that he ever believed it to be in danger in the first place. He was just strolling along daydreaming of the happy days that were to come, when this guy, an asassin by the looks of him, jumped him from behind.

"Over my dead body!" The asassin grunted.

He pulled to pills from out of nowhere it seemed and swallowed them. He began to foam at the mouth and within seconds he was stone cold dead.

Han stood thre in shocked. What had just happened.

"Alright," He said to the men, "I want every inch of this place checked. Try and find out how this guy got in."

"Yes sir."

"Anyone needs me...Ill be in medbay."

Early twenties. Full head of hair. Big scar. Unseeing grey eyes staring triumphantly up at the cieling.

Not a pretty sight, but Nait Gash had seen worse. So had Ni Ja'mal, Jaskia's right-hand man in charge of the Jedi Ghosts. Nait stood at a solid six feet, with broad, sweeping shoulders that would make him stand out in any crowd. He carried with him an aura of power that made Ni seem small and insignificant. The Rebels knew who he was, and any outsider watching would have been able to tell that this man was in charge.

Nait's piercing blue-green eyes, the exact shade as his father's, stared disgustingly at the corpse which lay at his feet. "We'll need a complete DNA and retinal scan," he said. "And try a face-print, too. Get the man's background."

One of the Rebel soldiers nodded. "Will do, sir."

Ni knelt down to study the man's face, squinting his eyes slightly. "Not a face I've seen before," he said. "Could just be any assassin. Who did he attack? Nobody was real clear on that part."

"It was General Solo," Nait said sharply, cutting off the man's reply. He glanced at the Rebel and frowned as if concentrating. "And he's waiting in the med bay for us, right? Did I get all of that?"

The Rebel nodded, pale-faced. He avoided the taller Jedi's eyes. "Yessir."

"Have you done a sweep of the ship?" Ni asked.

"Nossir, we're actually starting now. There's no way he could have gotten in from space."

"Never say 'no way', ensign," said a light, musical voice from the other end of the hall. Darrina Thel-Lehon, thin, wiry,muscular, and armed, made to stand next to the soldier. Her bouncy red curly hair was pulled back behind her head and twisted in an elaborate knot to keep the hair out of her eyes. Under her dark shirt and jacket, Nait could glimpse at something that looked remarkable like a chest-plate. Small blasters were holstered on her thighs. Darrina, a former handmaiden-in-training for the late Queen Apailina, glowed with health.

"Yes ma'am," said the ensign. He saluted smartly.

"Anything out of the ordinary, report back to me," Darrina finished. "Are we clear?" As the man stammered out another reply, Darrina cocked her head to the other end of the startlingly white corridor. "Let's go visit Han and make sure he hasn't given the droid too much trouble."

Naos

I sighed "Fine, I guess there isn't a way to get through to you, I was hoping since you just woke up and was foggy-brained that it'd help my cause. But I guess not." I joked with a laugh "We'll leave, just promise me you'll meditate a little or something on our way?"

Part of me worried that I was allowing my girlfriend to go get herself killed, but she survived a battle with the most powerful man in the Galaxy, if not the universe. This would be easy for both of us.

Scout

"You're a persistant little man, aren't you, Blondie?" Scout mummered. "Fine, fine, I promise to rest on the ship. Happy?" Honestly, Scout didn't feel she even needed to promise that. She was sure that bags the size of the galaxy's biggest ravine were decorating her face right now. She was tired, mentally and physically. The wounds had taxed her strength, something that she could feel in the marrow of her bone. Something about fighting Palpatine had done something. Infected her. That's what it felt like, anyway. She couldn't really prove it. She could only hope that she regained strength as they went along.

Scout stood for a moment and crossed over with tentative steps to the small wardrobe besides the 'fresher. Another one of her outfits, a light gray, textured jumpsuit with red trim hung on a hanger. Below were her knee-high boots and a pair of strength-enhancing gauntlets.

But no lightsabers. No comlink. No hunting blade. No weapons or poisons of any kind.

Scout grimaced slightly. She'd just have to deal with it later. She took the clothes off the hanger and proceeded into the 'fresher to change, closing the door behind her. A look in the mirror told all. Her face was tired and a bit on the pale side. Her startling blue-green eyes stared dully back up at her. Her hair, freshly washed and brushed by the nurses, seemed a bit duller. The ice-blue tattoos on her face and arm, tribal markings from a Korun clan she had inducted into the Rebellion on Sullust, shined with a renewed light. Scout smiled tightly, and began to change.

When she went back into the room, Naos was waiting for her. She had pulled her hair back into a ponytail, a bit longer than what she was used to. The Healing Trance sped up hair growth. She couldn't help it. She resolved to cut it later. "Alright," she said. "I'm ready to checkout."

Naos

I nodded and we both walked to the front counter, and even though the receptionist protested Scout leaving this early, I argued with her until she couldn't take it anymore. She finally, and quite reluctantly, agreed and gave us the release forms. We both signed them, and within five minutes, we were out of there.

As much as I disagreed with Scout's decision to leave early, it felt good to know that we wouldn't be going back in there for awhile...at least I hoped we wouldn't be.
