"Um, sorry, I'm fine...uh, mind if I ask real fast, whats your name?" Deej wondered curiously, he continued to try to convince himself that this guy wasn't Dason, but the worry was still there, however he hoped he was wrong. Dason was the last thing he needed.
Dason was a good friend of Abbi's, and Deej had talked to him occassionally over MSN, but he was definitely known as very odd and crazy. He talked about pedicures, twenty five men in his bed, and apparently his parents didn't want him talking to Deej or RJ. All in all, too strange.

"Dason," he said slowly, wondering if the weird guy in front of him was some sort of pedophile. He's loco! "Why did you need that?"

"Oh dear Lord!" Deej blurted, staring in complete shock at the boy before him, but he knew he had to snap out of it "Okay, um, sorry. Just alot going on right now. What did you need again?"

Dason began to edge away. "Nothing, forget I asked..."
There was another text message, chiming on the urgent frequency his mother rarely used. He grabbed at it, frustrated.
Corellia Security called, his mom had written. Abbi's dead. Go back to your aunt's, I'm coming to get you.
He didn't know how long he stared at it before movement came back to his body. He dialed up his mother's frequency as fast as he could and got the answering machine. "What do you mean she's dead?!" Dason asked hurriedly, his voice shaking. "How? Call me back."
Dason pressed END on the call and put the comlink back in his pocket. "Oh dear Lord," he muttered. "Oh Dear Lord..."

Deej's eyes widened. He knew Reza was alive now, supposedly, and he didn't know of any other Dason's other friends. A worried look crossed his face. "What happened?!" Deej asked hurriedly, feeling anxiety well up into him now

Dason looked up at the strange man, tears in his eyes. He held up a hand, trying to figure out the fastest route back to his aunt's. "My mom said my friend's dead," he said, voice shaking a little. "I have to go!"

Deej's jaw dropped. For a moment, he didn't know what to say. No, actually, for more than a moment. He had no literal clue how to figure out if it was Abbi, if she really had been killed after all of this. But he knew Dason would probably leave in a hurry soon, and he wouldn't have the chance to find out. If he didn't find out now, he'd probably never know. "Is it Abbi?!" Deej blurted

Dason nodded hopelessly. "She never texted me back," he muttered to himself. He took out his comlink again, dialing in Abbi's frequency and got her message: You've reached Abbi Skoolus, and apparently I'm on the borderline of indisposed. I'll call you back later, leave a number!
"Abbi, where the heck are you?" Dason blurted out. "Call me back on the comlink!"

"How did she die?! When?!!?!?" Deej asked helplessly, staring at Dason, a lost and wondering look in his eyes as he gulped, not knowing what to do or think at all. He just talked to Abbi. Was this a fake report, or did she really get killed while being protected by the government?!
This can't be happening!

Dason glanced up at the man, suddenly suspicious. "You know Abbi Skoolus?" he said doubtfully. "Are you kidding? She lives on Borelias!"

Deej sighed. He didn't know if he wanted to say that he was HK just yet, though at the same time, why hide it. "Yes, I know Abbi, and I know that she lived on Borleais. But she went to Corellia. Now what happened?" Deej demanded

I had a lot of dreams of how I'd die lately.
Abbi's words echoed in his head. But she wasn't dead. She couldn't be. Abbi Skoolus was only thirteen--thirteen year olds only died in the news, not in real life. It wasn't right, and it wouldn't be Abbi to die before her time.
It had to be a trick. It had to be.
His comlink buzzed, and it was his mom. She was crying. "Mom, what happened?" he asked.
"Her entire family was killed, Dason," his mom explained tearfully. "Everybody."
"What?! How?!?!"
"They won't tell us, honey. Only that Abbi survived the first wave but not... the second."
"What was the second? What do you mean?"
"They burned down where she was staying," his mom said, loud enough for the man behind him to hear what she said. "They handcuffed her to the sink and just walked off..."
The world was spinning. He sat down heavily on the street.

Deej nearly fell down, but managed to keep his balance. However, he did have to lean on the wall for support. He knew about the first wave, and that Abbi survived. But there was a second wave? So she was dead then. Abbi was dead. So many thoughts flashed through his mind. Did Niko get to Corellia and find her, was he too late, was he killed too? Who is after Abbi?!
Abbi is dead.
The thought sent him into pure shock.

"She's not dead!" Dason shouted into the phone. "She's not going to die!"
"Honey, just go back to your aunt's... I'll come and get you."
She signed off, and Dason threw the comlink away. She was dead. Dead, dead, dead. He felt the tears spill over, but he wasn't sobbing yet. He glanced around the Naboo district as if he'd never been there before. "I want to see the body," he whispered.

RJ piloted the ship down towards Naboo and sped up, entering the atmosphere. The intercom began buzz as it lit up, and he flicked the switch. "What do you want?"
"This is the Naboo Space Port. State your business!"
"I'm here to pick up a good friend of mine. Deej Critch, if you have him in your system? He didn't send his coordinates to me and I have to pick him up within the hour!"
RJ was talking in his charismic voice, a bit of Force persuasion added in for effect. Yes, he was Force sensitive, although it was mostly hidden.
"Ahhh... yes, we have one Deej Critch here. We'll forward the address to you right away. Thank you for visiting Naboo!'
"You're welcome," he said, flicking the comm off. He shook his head and grinned, heading for Deej's house.
----------
He hovered over the neighborhood, watching each house carefully. Not a sign of a teenaged boy in sight. Please, don't let him have to resort to knocking on the damn doors...
He spotted a disturbance out of the corner of his eye, down on the ground. It was a boy, waving his arms around like he was insane. RJ shook his head and landed, lowering the ramp. He grabbed a blaster rifle off the wall and set it to stun just to be safe.
Walking down the ramp, he squinted as the sunlight hit his eyes, having been accustomed to the darkness of space and his room. He walked over to the boy, raising an eyebrow.
"What's wrong with you?"
He looked up at the doorway and spotted another human male. Hmm, that definitely had to be Deej. He remembered his facial features from the picture he'd showed them all once.
