"I like him." I said with a small smile "He and his own techniques are a little...odd, but I think he's a good Master. Maybe its too early to judge, but he's better than some others around here. Most Masters are stereotypes...he's not."

Ajax just shook his head. "Like other Masters, he is not." He walked into the lake, motioning for Ashley to join him. Much more conventional than showers, he thought. It washed away the sweat and grime from his body a lot faster than sonishowers in the Temple. "He's weird. I don't care if he's the Grand Master and all. That guy's pure obsessive... obsessiveness."

"Calm down, Ajax....he may be a bit odd, but I think him and his teachings are good for us. We're lucky to have the Grandmaster teaching us...he's a powerful man himself. What bothers you so much about him?" I asked my friend curiously as I followed him into the beautiful lake

I had gotten cleaned up after the long and hard training session with Master Vieux. He was a tough Master, but a very wise one. I wasn't particularly fond of his techniques, but I trusted he knew what he was doing, and that we, his Padawans would be all the better for it.
After getting fixed up I walked out into the social area, where Morgan, another of the Padawans were seated.
"Resting your joints eh?" I joked, "Don't tell me Master Vieux's training sessions are too much for you!"

Ajax shrugged, wading into the deeper waters. "I don't like the idea of learning under somebody that's been on the GM throne longer that twenty years, okay? And he had no right to take us away from our Masters. I asked mom about it and she said it's happened before. Why?"

"I'm not saying I am in favor of dictatorship here, but he is the Grandmaster...he has a right to do whatever he pleases with the Order. And the longer they've been here, the more experienced and wise they are. I still don't get why you don't like the guy." I told Ajax "I understand some of it, but still. I miss my old Master, too, but Master Vieux isn't any worse."

"I've been the odd one out before," Ajax said. "Everybody loves Vieux, and he's done a lot for the Order. But we honestly don't know how long the guy's been alive or for how long he can keep living. What it the Order becomes like it did with Yoda? I don't want the same thing to happen again, and I'm not wholly convinced Vieux didn't use some mind influence on my Master."

"What do you mean like it did with Yoda? From what I've heard and seen in history...Yoda was a great Jedi Master. Sure, he was there when the Order fell, but that wasn't his fault." I said to him, a bit confused "And he may have...if he did I'm not sure I would fully approve, but its typical of Jedi."

"The galaxy changed," Ajax said quietly, "but Yoda was so much of a fool that he refused to change with it. The Jedi were an echo of the past, and most times I'm not sure if we aren't still rooted in the past, too." He shrugged. "I don't know. I don't think I'll be a full-time Jedi when I'm older. I'm going to join the special forces."
