I'm sure you guys remember Éowyn, right? Honestly, I think it would have been better if she ended up with Aragorn instead of him and Arwen. Though, a few scenes in the extended edition said she's growing fond of Faramir. I like the girls who fight on the battlefield. Arwen only fought once, and she didn't kill anything. Eowyn killed the Witch King. She's living proof that women can fight.

Well in the books she does fall in love with faramir and they get married. I think the whoel Arwen adn Aragorn thign was fate though they are both decendants of Beren adn Luthian even if they are on oppisite sides of the tree.

Meh... *shrug* To be honest, in the Return of the King I almost completely forgot about Arwen until we saw her. Eowyn's a nice girl, though. And she can fight.

Movie!!!! In the book Arwen doesn't even pick up a sword. Actually, she was even supposed to fight in Helm's deep in the movies, but decided against it.
A further problem I think, is that they utterly messed up Faramir in the movies. He appears like a thinner Carbon copy of Boromir. While he was someone utterly different. As to the loves. I actually ignored Aragorn/Arwen after a while, since I believed the Faramir/Eowyn so much more beautiful, so much more believable.

I think Faramir and Eowyn are a much better couple than Aragorn and Arwen and I agree with Nells first post also. Eowyn and Merry (my fav hobbit) kicked the witch kings a**

yeah, the movie faramir anoyed me alot. In the books he was really almost the oppisite of his brother but still had the "gondorian" feel. actually i think the best love story in all fo the books is probably Luthiun and Beren, i mean they loved each otehr so much that Beren was brought back to life.

Well sure. But somehow, I found Faramir annoying as well :~ I don't know. Why did he ever decide to bring Frodo to Minas Tirith - just ununderstandable.
