ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Since I know what I want to do with the fic, I'm going to restart it. I haven't started writing just yet--I'm still getting a chapter layout-- because I need to finish all 14 chapters before showing you guys. Which would be QUITE a while, heh. AND I'll be introducing new characters and a better plotline and beginning. Auron's mother, Brea, will make cameo appearances, and Sanji will play a more prominent role. As will Ghez Hokan. We'll see a bit more of Vieux and his species, and we'll have cruel manipulations going on through 10-20 chapters...

*cackles*

Did you get the name Brea from Brea Tharen?

Actually, I just took that name off the top of my head, heh. But 'vieux' means old man in French. ^^

Vieille means old I think. Vieux is the masculin form and so therefore can only refer to males...

Oh, she wanted it to end. Why had she refused the pain medication? Stupid, stupid, stupid…The thoughts rang hollowly within her head. Tears ran down her face. Exhausted, spent. And still she had to go on, to bring her child into the world…

(Our last hope,) Vieux had said. (I hope you understand…)

Soon, the droid appeared at her shoulder to take the baby away. Brea watched her go, and felt the tears come in full force. A tortured look came over his face, but he understood and gripped her hand. “We can’t know, can we?” he asked quietly.

Brea saw Jemayah melt into the nursery room to follow the nurse-droid, giving the two time alone.

Brea shook her head. Rostu gathered her into his arms and let her cry, even adding a few tears of his own. Because nothing, nothing could compare to the fact that they’d never get to see their baby girl again after her first eight months of life.

And the last one…

Jamayah nodded again. “Also correct,” she said. “Better than I could say myself. But where are the Skywalkers and Solos now?”

(Gone,) Vieux said softly. (Killed.) It was a very sad fate for a Kalanese if a family died with nobody to carry on their name. They always faded away into the background, and nobody would ever remember the good or bad the men and women had done. It had gone the same with the Skywalkers and Solos. (No more children. The last of their line pledged that there would be no more of their descendants to mess up the Galaxy.)

“You will soon learn,” Jemayah whispered, “that Jedi don’t always tell the truth…”
