It's a step in the right direction. But you have to remember one thing - don't obscure the focal too much, and don't worry about deleting a part of the effects over it to make it stand out more.

Looks good man  Its good to have someone around my level and using the same program  I reckon it just needs some text or something... With just the render and brushes its a little... Empty. |

You're getting really good. The border DOES need a little reworking, and though the background fits in, you need a flow of energy in the pic. Try using some C4d's off of Deviantart.com and adding them into the bg a little set on different filters and effect, and see if it helps anymore. And don't be afraid to use the default brushes a little for lighting effects. |

Well, I went and did some research...
C4D is a term used for 3D renders and the like. C4D is a stupid name for it as its just the name of one of the things you can use to create them... *sigh*

All I'll say is the text needs to stand out a bit more. Maybe make it so it isn't just plain text?
