Well since the anagrams contest we see Japan in the lead with 30 points, Germany just behind on 25 and CZ not too far behind at 10 points. Every other country is yet to score but the Olympics are young! Anyways this is the next contest! Epic Poetry! What is involved?I will supply 3 random topics and olympians can choose to write a poem on one, two or even all three of them. What is the closing date?Thursday 3rd of April. Please not that time zones may have an effect on this, so you are still liable to enter poems untill I post a message saying entries are closed What are the prizes? If you win one topic you will get 10 points, 8 points for second, and 5 for third. A maximum of 30 points can be acheived. Also if you dont win any points (come 1st second or third in any topic) then you will get 1 point for every topic you enter. [glow=red,2,300] RULES[/glow] *Only one poem per topic per contestant is allowed, this means the maximum amount of poems you can enter is three. *Poems must consist of 2 verses with 4 lines in each verse. They do not have to rhyme. Good luck and get writing! If you have any other questions just ask

Soaring high beyond the stars a spotted giraffe neck a stair it's cold up here, there's no air and somewhere beyond, the red mars
I feel lost and alone, with no spotlight sometimes crying out in frigth but unknown, there's an Azure sky deep down in the deepest imaginable bligh

So they once told me t'was a neck in the skies oh it was meant to prance and dance a heavenly choir of flies and trees, well they had no chance
The yellow terrible body it had was something bordering madness with a laugh but hey, it was but a goofy giraffe there's just no way I could have been sane or mad
this on should be clear.
the other one, let's say Azure
and space
It was in a year long past that our forefathers in scores massed they were to fly for ages only to see sun's cages
We stand here now unable to move locked in sight sound and a vow we're not so stupid as them, we'd never approve

A journey into space, just the stars and planets around me, of civilization there is no trace, I have no idea how much more silence there is to be.
Free from worries, no limitations other than time, I see the stars pass by in flurries, and for those who desire to see space I dedicate this rhyme.

Space
The dark velvet of space wraps around me its smooth coolness embraces me tendrils of darkness caressing my body fingers of dark sooth my muscles
Bright points of light shine out like a million gems there glorious brilliance surpassed only by one thing a blue green ball floating in the darkness, with beauty unmatched Space oh how I love you're embrace, but Earth beckons for me again.
---------------------------------------------------------- AzureX
I sit at my computer bored beyond belief tapping my fingers on the wooden desk until though shoots through my mind "What about AzureX!"
and so in a blinding flash I go to my bookmarks and click on the link and in a second the page is there in all its glory No more boredom for me!
--------------------------------------------------- A Giraffe
A long necked giraffe sits in the field munching happily on some leaves its neck arches up and it grabs yet another bite oh long necked giraffe how peaceful you are
the long necked giraffe is so peaceful its brilliant yellow body, marked with deep brown spots. Oh giraffe how I wish I could be like you relaxing all day Oh long necked giraffe you don't know how lucky you are, in you're peaceful bliss

To some, an unknown world, In which there is no return, No matter the obstacles we hurled, Just to get there.
A calling to adventure, A calling to the unknown, Because we all gotta be sure, That we’ll make it out again.

Hmm, how to make three poems in the space of 7 seconds... ACROSTIC!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Giraffe. I like acrostic poems. Rawr! And this has little to do with anything... Fish. Fingers. End. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Space. Pace. Ace. Can't make it one letter less like the last three End. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Azure-X FTW. Zebras. Umbrellas... Rain and Auron stole my Lambda! Eek I can't see the screen! Bad Cat! - Xylophone. ---------------------------------------------------------------- You can't beat a good acrostic poem!
