Glad to see someone got the intended meaning of my post I don't think a trilogy would be enough either... They're massive books and, well, even average novels don't often fit well into a single movie... |

the only book I can think of off the top of my head that is small is The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon, all his novella's and short stories are small (at least small for his writing) but there usually in collections of 4-5 that make the book fairly big.
