To Thel0stcat: First paragraph: it's hard to understand what you're trying to say, please restate. Second Paragraph: Age of earth-->definatlly not 200mil. Flood: Look up Canopy theory. Fossils: Look up Polystrate fossils. They're fossils that go through many layers, even ones that are supposed to be millions of years difference. They've found a whole forest of Polystrate tree fossils. Third Paragraph: In following the bible, the world was perfect before Adam and eve sinned. Genetic makeup means nothing to perfect beings. The world progressively gets worse as time goes on, and if it wasnt as bad back then and the first humans started to mingle, Genetic problems wouldnt arouse. I can say the same thing about our 'evolutionary beginnings.' are you saying the first Creatures wouldnt have run into the same problem? Fourth: I'll get back to you after some research. Fifth: How is it trying to spurn old pagan, greek and roman traditions and deities? Please emfisize(sp?). Sixth: Well if I had strong convictions about Hinduism then I probably wouldnt be converted. I used to be an Athiest before I converted. I cant explain the bible as well as a pastor, but I do my best. And about Christmas: We dont know if Jesus Christ was born on the 25th, it's an estimate.

The fact that a number of fossils do not correspond to the general theory, does not automatically invalidate it. Remember that most fossils do. Still how else would you explain the general layer fossilisation?
As to the world progressively getting worse? I tend to disagree. We still have large problems, but that does not mean, that a medieval person didn't have large problems as well. Not to forget that the average lifespan in western countries has been growing over the years.
And genetic makeup has to mean something to all beings, weather they be perfect or not, simple because of the fact, that you couldn't exist without your DNA daily manufacturing proteins, hormones and a number of other things.
As to mingling - the truth is, that when two isolated groups of people mingle, the resulting hybrids tend to be far stronger and better than merely a breeding program from a single group - try to find something about the Nazi nationalistic perfect race error.
The simplest forms of life do not have this problem, since they generally are asexual, cloned beings of one self. But even among the simplest bacteria - echinea coli or something, you can see a number of hundred thousand mutations every generation -due to the extremely vast populations and reproduction rate of once per 20 minutes. These mutations tend to be small, but they do work on changing the genetic base. And tend to spread in gene sharing which many bacteria do.
The moving of christmas from January into the time that closely corresponds with the winter solstice. The ram as the devil. Nature spirits displayed as demons. Desexualisation. Calling most halucinogens to be of sins. And many many other things.
Christmas was celebrated around January for a very, very long time, before being moved. Interestingly, this corresponded with the christianisation of centre and north european barbaric tribes.
Exactly - local floods around the area of the judaic tribes that encompassed large areas of their of their normal territory led to accounts of a global flood. Look at medieval times - people often believed the end of the valley was the end of the world.
There's also one more thing - the tower of Babylon and the alienation of language among the people. For a moment let's ignore our modern tower of babylon - the internet and concentrate on one factor.
The fact that the god suddenly removed understanding between the tribes. - First off, body language tends to be universal, thus most concepts could still be send on. And second, far more important - you can trace languages and their evolution over time. A lot of european languages have many similarities between indian ones etc. You can actually trace the alienation of languages from each other over time and area, thus it's clear that there wasn't some sudden misunderstanding.
And as to the first paragraph - it's somewhat metaphysical I know.
